I would love to have Death Strike’s animation changed for Blood. From current CombatAbility_2HBig_01 to CombatAbility_2HBig_02. This is the Obliterate animation, but make the visual red like Condemn’s.
that animation should be deleted from the game, its horrible.
it’s neat once or twice, but do it 100 times a row, 1000, 10,000. it gets very old, very fast.
not to mention that turning around in battle? thats straight up magical thinking, you’d get your head chopped off when you turn your back to the enemy.
Mortal strike animation also does a spin though. They look cool and feel impactful.

its just a clunky, slow, overly dramatic animation IMO. aside from the fact that our characters are powered by death magics, they have been fighing continuously lorewise for like 10 years now. nothing they do should be clunky, go watch professional sports players, they are not clunky in their movements. our animations should be smooth and fluid and chain together nicely. stopping to turn around, put your axe on the ground and lift it over your head in the most scripted avoidable attack ever is not what an experienced undead fighter would do, makes you sound like an elden ring mini-boss on easy mode.

Might I suggest that anytime we use a weapon strike ability after another its animation changes? Similar to how Storm strike for shaman does.
I am happy with my Jump strike thank you very much. I am also not a huge fan of the Oblierate animation. When you use duel wield weapons your weapons do this odd clipping were the off handed weapons of them is off center from the main handed weapon.
The same thing happens to Warriors using Condemn and it is very pronounced when playing Fury with its duel two handed weapons.
Personally I think Obliterate should have two different animations if the weapon selection remains in Dragonflight.
The big problem really is spammable abilities need a secondary animation mixed in to make it feel less repetitive. Survival hunters actually have this with Raptor strike, and its something Ive been trying to push for.
That said, I love the 2hbig02 animation, and the implied weight of the weapon swing.
Heck, Id love them to implement the Deathstrike animation thats been in the game if they can adjust it to not have the little twirl.
This makes so much difference! Would love to see this in all DK specs (not just frost).
Not only do I also love it, I specifically jump right before I do it…in PvP. Legend has it that jumping increases crit chance by 7-8%.
