I mean I still don’t think Paladins should have been given Ashbringer, because it’s literally the only reason they killed Tirion.
Hate to see what they do to justify pulling Frostmourne out their butts.

Imo thenlight 100% corrupts it alters the body and infuses its self in the one who uses it fully. That’s exactly what the void does. They both will do it even if you say no.
Arthas was already a jealous boy who couldnt beat Varian in a duel a single time so he went to become a paladin.
A warrior doesnt think about power that way they just do.
Garrosh almost did show that truth but then he had to throw his void axe into a heart and drink I its blood. Like a fool he decided to think.
I see your point, story wise it was dreadful. Tirion was a good character, having him killed just for the sake of giving up Ashbringer was pretty lame.
Alas, the dwindling interest of players after WoD, I suppose Blizzard wanted to do anything they could to lure players back in for Legion, IE giving out an Ashbringer to anyone who decided to roll a holy boi/gal was the way to do just that.
Whether liking or not the fact Paladin’s received their all time class fantasy weapon, at the end of the day them, & Demon hunters have received their big flashy weapons.
It would be nice if Blizzard would sit back and allow Death Knights to have their due.
