I’ve noticed the death knight voice effects are gone. Tried looking into it a bit. Some said there was a setting in options, but it’s not there now. Others said to try advancedsettings addon, but that didn’t work. Others mentioned adding a line to the retail wtf file but as soon as I start the game that line is removed. Anyone find any fix yet? Reported a bug and attempted to contact customer support but it’s pretty much set up so you can’t get help from a person.
Strangely enough, I’ve noticed that if I’m too far away and they say as much, that has the effect. But laughs, grunts, emotes with voice, they’re missing the effect

Guess you’re a new DK. Deathknights “players” used to have a very different voice than other player classes of the same race.
Player character. Emotes used to have that effect, but now if I do a joke or something it’s normal human and blood elf voice, no effect. Only thing I’ve heard with the effect is out of range alerts
Not new. Just don’t play with sound when I’m in town or the open world.

I’ve known DK’s have the effect, I didn’t know it was gone. My DK has over 100 days /played on him. Lol.
Ps. I don’t care if you think I’m new or not. I was simply asking if this was an issue with the player or npc’s. Which it turns out is the player.

100 days. So very below average. Convincing us you play with no sound and probably over dramatizing how many actual days you have played.
The fact is this was a very real thing for years and was a good point to bring up. Just because you didn’t know players had voice lines because you played with a broken headset for the 2 weeks you played this game. NPC and Players shared the same voice line effects until recently.
Lmao. Why are you on me like this? Why do you care how long I’ve been playing? I have multiple tons over 100 days played. I don’t solely play my DK. It’s literally just a casual alt these days.
I know that DK’s have the altered voices. Everyone does. That’s part of their charm. I didn’t know that it was recently turned off for players because not only is this an alt that I barely play these days, but like I said, I typically play without sound because I have something on my other monitor going.
I bet you’re a new DH. Probably level boosted then had your friend level you through the current content. You have what? 6 hours into your DH? And you’re over here trying to call me out? Psh.

The DK voice effects i noticed disappeared a long time ago, I think after BFA
Bring them back i fully agree, And depsite how little this affects actual gameplay and how little this might seem, I do think the voice effects were part of the classes flavor
Removing them intentionally is a disgusting mistake, and them being maybe bugged out of the game is a bug that should be addressed
