Except on the literal cover of that manga he has an eye glow. Not sure what you’re on about.
That’s because those were Gen II Death Knights, something entirely separate to us as Gen III. They weren’t even dead, they were Paladins that basically went mad in Northrend.
Looks to work just fine in Wowhead’s dressing room.
Then I suppose at this point they just haven’t gone back and fixed it.

Vereesa has a pink eye glow in Hearthstone. Is that more canon than her newly updated in game blue eyes?
A couple ppl mentioned certain races can’t be DKs, logically the only DK race that doesn’t/shouldn’t exist in the Lore is LF because when they die, they explode. But LF have like no classes…so it’s kewl.
Every other race has an equal footing to be a DK though.
Plus, if I remember correctly didn’t the old lore used to DKs were just dark paladins as well? Or unholy paladins…not strictly dead?
oooh pretty, it fits in nicely with the new arcane option for Blood/High/Void Elves. But honestly I like the Blue for them better.

Funnily enough, in the Shadowlands pre-patch Vereesa and other high elf NPCs had purple eyes that were apparently a glitch.
They’re the source of the purple eyes that were added to blood elves and void elves in Shadowlands (though they look different than the glitch ones did), and they end up looking pretty similar to Vereesa’s Hearthstone eyes.
I dunno if giving DK’s normal eyes should be a thing, but giving them green, red, and maybe dark violet eye glows would be nice.
I wish Dark Iron Dwarf DKs got the option for Bolvar-esque eyes. That effect is so cool but will never be in the hands of players.
The glowing color of my eyes matches that of my armor, weapon, weapon illusions. But that’s more by coincidence than design. So options would be nice.
