Death From Above

Why cant DFA for sub rogues just become baseline? Replace goremaw with it. I just feel that DFA could be reworked to making sub rogue its fun “one shot” big burst hitting ability. Like it was back in WoD. Im just wanting some mord fun gameplay to sub rogue. Thought’s?

DFA is awesome but it bugs out sometimes as it fails to run its animation if there are objects in the way as you fly up.

secret technique is basically the spiritual successor of DFA.

The only reason DFA was even used back in legion was because you could dance right before the evicerate happened after you land, and snapshot that damage without wasting a global in during dance, since DFA has a long animation. They fixed that in BFA so im not sure its even usable in current state if they added it back as baseline. Maybe if they made it do 50% again and add back the aoe damage component.

True, I just would of liked to see DFA be good. Somehow make it work in the rotation. It takes like two globals to finish… the animation, mabye if it did a 30% increased damage? Lol…

Id like it deleted. Even as PvP talent. So many better iterations of it already (Coup, ST) but i dont PvP like that so ive always kept that opinion to myself.

3 globals.

DFA would probably have to be somewhere in the ballpark of 100% to even be worth using. But with how focused rogues are on timers there days it would probably have to be more. And even then it would probably only work for Assassination.

It used to be 50% and did a really chunky AoE on the way up, and it was still only worth using because of a bug.

Hmmm and also. The stuns would be need last longer, because we need way more wind up time for it to be effective.

DFA is still very powerful. but it is not a 1 button press move to make it powerful.

i suggest you think outside the box. DFA has always been a very powerful move for me.

because thats part of it’s tricks… useful if you know how to abuse this.

DFA already does more damage in PVP and it is easy to make it do 200% more damage than an Eviscerate/Envenom/Dispatch in PVE.

there are “air” secrets. i shall not explain.

In PvE?

Yes make DFA part of the PVE kit again. Only way to make Rogue strong again.

just checked my DFA trick. nerfed… (again)… i had it beat with macros in DF… but now its totally gone.

Forgetting the sins of cold blood secret technique in DF already boys tisk tisk. Loading everything into 1 thing isn’t healthy for us or for any balance.

CDG and Darkest Night already do plenty.

Goremaw’s bite is a great ability multi tool so no sir.

Secret Technique and CDG DN are crispy as heck. DFA still can be used to hit hard with new First Dance when timed well but an ability doing meme damage for just pressing it is out of the cards for any class and shouldn’t exist.

CDG did have an immunity as it was DFA without leaping off the ground like a goon and it does the same damage as a Darkest Night. Its all about the order in which the rogue chooses to hit stuff. Want to invest in that? - go for it (flag + finality + other stuff +dfa is pretty filthy when paired together) We have solid talent flexibility and that’s where we should remain, not goofy “1 shots”.

I just wish DFA wasn’t a trash pvp talent for outlaw. It’s literally an awful ability as far as damage. Even hook has better mobility than that talent. Make it at least deal respectable damage.

It does do more damage in PVP now but I haven’t tested it with super charger yet.

I think Sub has the best value from DFA in PVP but Sub doesn’t really need more burst damage as it lacks sustain and beefy combo point generators in PVP.

DFA though is underrated in PVP for Assassination and Outlaw. Outlaw doesn’t really need the mobility from DFA as it can have 2 to 4 grappling hooks and low CD Sprint. Assassination could use the mobility though…

i love dfa. its never about dmg. but if you can turn it into a high dmg ability… then its more useful.
