One of the DK starting zone quests: "Death Comes From On High " is bugged. After I interact with the quest item and take control of the eye and it lands in New Avalon I am immediately logged out back into the main server selection window. I’ve tried disabling all my addons and clearing cache and even remaking my character. Nothing is working and I am stuck as I am unable to complete or skip the quest.

Experienced the exact same thing myself today.
Sames steps and no change to disconnect
Finally gave up and rolled a paladin
I had this issue before too. I abandoned the quest and picked it up again, then it worked.
There’s a post in bug report. Likely been overlooked by Blizz as it’s been happening since patch.
I resolved by just restarting character (as it’s such an early quest), though dropping and picking back up does sound a better solution.
Restarted quest multiple times… even quitting game and clearing cache… figured screw it and just did a paladin instead as i realized i don’t have a human for the heritage…
You should be able to delete your character and start again to resolve the issue, as it’s around 4 (ish) quests in.
Frustrating, but definitely not bad enough to cause someone to roll Paladin

I did this…and the same problem arose. I can’t move past level 9.
so i tried disabling addons and nothing worked. Only thing that worked for me was doing these steps:
- Abandon quest
- take portal to halls of command
- log out and log in
- restart quest and it worked

This workaround also resolved the issue for me with the DK quest “Death Comes From On High”.
