My HC character took the flightpath from Moonglade to Darnassus and died after being booted off the hippogryph and getting a message “Transfer Aborted: instance not found” as I flew into Darkshore. Is there any way to get my character back? If not that sucks. Would love the challenge but how can I play if I’m rolling the dice every time I fly somewhere?

Some horses don’t like fording a creek or river.
Seen them refuse and toss the rider.

planes crash. griffins more so. hyppogryphs are basically death traps.

A slow fall buff while flying would fix this, but some knuckleheads are afraid people will exploit this, presumably allowing them to get to places they shouldn’t go, I suppose similarly to how people can already exploit to such ends.
one day the entire server will crash and we will have mass casualties, going to be interesting how Blizz deals with it.

just keep some Limited Invulnerability Potions in your bag at all times

Well I was going to say a DC in FP was supposed to teleport you, but I see this is not that.
Definitely need a fix for it. There’s no appeal process, but can’t believe they didn’t think of this ahead of time. I’ve seen it before and seen people appeal it over in non official.
If you’re going to call me names, grow a pair and do it directly.
If I can think of an exploit in 10 seconds, you know there’s a dozen more.

What exploit could occur, assuming it’s not possible to replicate the FP abort issue?
Exactly. If you DC or close game on a FP, you’re back on the taxi gryphon (or whatever) when you relog. Only you sometimes get XP for exploring what’s directly below you.
Safe fall on abort would not kick in here.
That’s about what I expected.
I’ve never seen that happen in 20 years of WoW.
