I thought warlock was in a good spot right now?
Since OP left out any sort of context and wants to look dumb, I assume he has complaints about affliction in m+ or maybe something PvP related? For everything else the class is very good.

Just because it does “best damage” in a few encouters doesn’t mean that it is in a good spot. Affliction isn’t a spec that many people who like to play dot based classes like in terms of design. Affliction is only really good at ST right now. Some argue that it is supposedly good at council fights, but I don’t really believe that. Most of the council fights is exploiting a fight mechanic or doing pointless extra damage to get more procs on the priority target. As it is now, fights that Affliction was good at the start of the tier it is loosing ground on now that everybody is better geared and understand the encounters better.
Destruction is a boring rotation. Possibly the most boring rotation in the game in my opinion. I have literally leveled every class to 120 and can honestly say that I dislike it the most from all of the classes.
Demonology, whilst I personally like it and think that the spec is very demon themed, I know that many people don’t like it because it doesn’t resemble anything that it once was. The rotation is also a fairly smooth and engaging one as well. However, what old school demonology Metamorphosis loving players liked about it was Meta. Though that old rotation is honestly got a lot of similarity to current shadow priest. I personally didn’t care for meta demonology, but I can understand their complaints because the spec they loved doesn’t exist.
So to summarize, Affliction though good for some fights still sucks in PvE because the emphasis of the class has shifted too much from what an old school Affliction lock likes. In PvP Affliction has too narrow of a utility and load out that performs well. Destruction is a laughably boring rotation regardless of what kind of content you are doing. Demonology, though a fun and well-performing spec that is loved by many, has left many players who loved its old version lost.

I’m guessing I dont have the right traits because in the raid I just did I was sitting on par with destros.
yeah. In order to be busted you need 3 EP traits. Otherwise might as well play any other spec tbh

better hurry then… from what i just read about what’s incoming, demo’s getting a nerf to EP… plus a few others. =/
So I’m guessing this thread is about the Demo nerf? We still have 2 other specs which are top 2-5 in raid. I could agree that the Demo nerf was overboard, though.
what i still don’t get is - why nerf? pure dps classes/specs should be on top the dps charts… why not leave well enough alone and buff others to bring the bar more on line to where it should be?
cause blizzard is stupid and doesn’t take into consideration tool kits anymore, demo cant do damage on the move in raids or mplus??? better nerf there damage!

Demo was miles ahead of other specs. They are designed for stack cleave and ST damage, and were topping charts in a spread cleave raid. The EP nerf was definitely deserved, but the bug fixes were a bit overboard.
