Now that you have joined all of these servers to mine, could you please increase the size of my ignore list? Pretty please? I will share my secret recipe for Bakewell Tarts? It’s just the amount of (insert word I would never be so impolite to say) in trade is just gotten hundreds of time worse since this happened.
Thank you.

There is an add-on called bad boy which let’s you filter chat. I’ve found this helpful for some of the spam on certain servers. You may already be using this though.
What is the size of the list now? 50 - 100?

How can you need so many people on ignore?

              Ignore lists should be bottomless.

How many people do you need to ignore? I have exactly zero people in my ignore list.

Additionally I would like to see the ability for people to have multiple independent accounts ended. If you sign up with Battle-net, you only need 1 Battle.net account that administrates your licenses. Playing multiples at the same time like Multi-boxers do is fine, and one can do so with a single Battle.net account.
But realistically speaking, all WoW Accounts should be put into the same grouping and bundled under a single Battle.net account, that is owned by a single individual. If said individual opens another, Blizzard should immediately add it to their Battle.net license, not allow it to be run independently of others.
I say this, because this would make it far easier to ignore people who are repeat harassers.
This way if someone ignores someone else, Blizzard could apply the ignore flag to all of the accounts the person owns, by blocking them at the Battle.net level, and ensuring that that future WoW accounts opened by the same individual are likewise blocked.
I have seen multiple cases in the past where a person will get ignored and then creep back into a person’s life on a new account, pretending to be a totally new person like some weird e-stalker, and then make as much trouble as they can for the person or persons they dislike; before they get ousted.
Point is, people routinely do this so as to evade the ignore function, and to circumvent reports of “on-going harassment”. It is far from helpful when Blizzard’s GM Department just says “Put them on ignore” as if they are seemingly unaware that some people have done so, multiple times.

Because in the last few days (since the connection) there has been a massive uptick in all sorts of political non-sense (from both sides) including things that are just vile. I really don’t want to see anything else from these people and I don’t want to spam reports of them.
Does that make sense?

Grumbles you can turn off trade/general chat from chat settings, right click tab to get there. I used to have badboy filter things but its just too much degeneracy for even that addon now. The only thing is you need to be in a city or area where those channels are active to turn them off.

Did you know that if you put someone on ignore you won’t get grouped with them?
If I come across someone I don’t want to be grouped with again for whatever reason I throw them on ignore

Didn’t know that, but I’ve never ignored anyone and have yet to be grouped with the same unpleasant person twice. Seems unnecessary.

Maybe it’s you that’s the problem? Just leave trade chat and move on, the chances of seeing that person in chat again are unlikely so just clean your ignore list from time to time.

I would suggest ‘Global Ignore List and Chat Spam Filter.’
It’s a very simple addon that has an unlimited number of ignores. You can also create notes for each ignore. It’s been helpful for me. Even months later, I still run into some of the same people. It has a ton of other features as well.
Favorite part is that it warns you when you join a group with someone on your ignore list. Quick way to nope out.
