I liked it because you’re right, not because I actually like that the story writing is so sloppy and loose.
That reads a little more risque than I mean it too, but we have a LOT of poorly written arcs, arcs that have just randomly stopped with no conclusion, and poorly written arcs that have randomly stopped with no conclusion. This expac was billed as a faction war, but we’re too busy with ANOTHER Old God to actually have the faction war.
This “faction war” has been mostly Sylvanas doing whatever she wants with no repercussions and some playground squabbles that are forgotten as soon as recess is over.
Edit; Are the bookies taking bets yet about the faction war concluding in four paragraphs of a novel that half (or more) of the playerbase won’t read?
Blood elves are not in bad spot by an means. they just have the scar really.
Which imo they could fix real easy. Stop enchanting brooms, start enchanting shovels. All those 1000’s of broom now shovels…and there goes the scar in time. dump the earth off in lordaeron (not like its going to decrease house values there, that market is dead and gone now).
Shift in cleaner dirt from other sources and in well under 100 years the high elf/blood elf lands are good as new.

Ummm… that literally was the Alliance-side pre-expansion event for Cataclysm.
Erm… Silvermoon is still there, unlike Teldrassil. Unless I missed something major

I am late legion starter granted. I go back here and its still bad.
If memory serves us late starters see only post cataclysm wow. Why there is the nice lady in some spots. To time warp to pre cata wow.
In the case of undercity for say Halloween event she also exists to see pre BFA undercity as well. To run the event.
Is it a really big mail box, and when people try to check their mail in the comically outsized box, you pop out and hiss at them?
Or are you just squatting on top of the mailbox with your favorite things stored inside it, and when people approach the mailbox, you start screaming incoherently until they back away?

We need another NELF massacre. No matter how many times we try to wipe you guys out you keep coming back like roaches. I swear Meld is OP. Hopefully next time well actually get the job done.

Every time, Blizz dumps on the nelves. I get that they had a continent-spanning empire and can only go down from there, but now their territory is like just contested nowhere like Hyjal and Winterspring.
Can we burn down Nordrassil next?
if night elf players had any say in the story all of Kalimdor would be ours and the rest of you peasants would be paying us tribute to keep us from wearing your hides as cloaks. But since we don’t this post is irrelevant.

only if we get to remove the forsaken as a playable race and the story is we turned your entire scum race into fertiliser.
I think night elves should take the fortress in val’shArah to be honest. Far away from any enemies and secluded like night elves like to be anyway.
Nordrassil is kind of everyone’s tree. Taking val’sharah would be cool because it was ours to begin with.
Val’sharah is a nightmare tainted stinkhole. Kalimdor is our home, always and forever.

And then we’d have horde being stupid since the NB and cows there.
And I’d see us being on good terms with the ghost elves…so it Kalimdor part 2. This time with elves and cows. Nor sure what the Vikings would do. They have land disputes with the cows so…maybe they’d agree to a deal of elves help kill cows, leave the Vikings alone and we are all good.
And I am sure the orcs would swing by since its what they do.
The trolls would like to stand with the gnomes as also having been promised a new home city, except that only turned out to be a lv5 quest hub you blink and miss which lacks any of the support NPCs to make it an actual city.
Heck, the trolls are now on expansion #2 with no leader. Don’t point to Talanji, either. As much as I like her, she’s not stepped into any kind of permanent leader of all trolls position.
But if we want to specifically discuss alliance, I’m personally annoyed by absolutely every damn thing being human themed. Everything looks like Stormwind. Every building. All the armor. If we leave Stormwind, wherever we go gets rebuilt up to look like Stormwind. There are other races in the game…
