Please come back. Alliance queues have been full of … well, typical alliance players.
I’m stuck playing an alliance alt because my wife likes the queue times. I suppose I’m lucky that my wife is a hard core PVPer. The first couple of weeks of 8.2 were good, lots of mercs, lots of wins; today, not so much (2 wins, 13 losses). My Reflex screen was quite sad.
I know you guys like the short queue times, so come on just do it - click that merc button and queue up.
Horde queue times are pretty low nowadays … no need to merc for that . But if you are grinding honor then alliance is the way to go … if you are not completely afk, an alliance loss almost gives as much honor as a horde win.
I can promise you, that 100% it’s some BAD alliance players. I can’t tell you how annoyed I am at playing my warrior in BGs atm. Healers afk “defend” (??), they don’t heal others when you need them too and when they do heal, they run INTO the middle of the fight and die. People rarely interupt or focus enemy healers down, no one peels and EVERYONE stacks stuns on top of another like their stun will make them do exponential more damage. Alliance players in BGs are absolutely terrible atm. Blizzard needs to do something to address it.
Start designing the game better to train newer players better. What they did during MoP was fine but it’s not near enough where it needs to be. Blizzards needs to make newer players understand their classes better and mechanics. It’s infuriating watching a destro lock sit in the middle of a fight on a flag, casting free chaos bolts when i can’t get to him to stop him, or allowing 2 healers to just heal bot ON TOP of 5 of my team mates, who are all hitting other players. It’s time Blizzard develop players instead of throwing them into the damn wolves, how many people DON’T PvP because they don’t understand what to do or how the BG works? Do you know how many new people don’t know about wowhead? Or that they can look up guides on youtube. It’s a ton, I help when I can but it’s to a point now where Blizzard needs to step in and address the issue they’ve caused over the years.
Not even the Yellow Pages can help those kind of people.
For them, it’s a day out, for their family, it’s a day off
Wah wah wah ability pruning, how many people don’t even use the abilities they have already?
Having to beg mages for tables, locks for soul wells, priests for dispells,
just about everyone for interrupts.
First thing better than wowhead or youtube, would be the spellbook, then get that shizz bound to something useable
Some addons show it on mouse over their exact race. Other time when first joining you can see it when inspecting someone until match starts. Since I’ve been queuing in 8.2 I’ve maybe seen a grand total of 7 mercs some together in a match and others solo. It isn’t that common.
One of my addons shows on mouseover. Since I’ve seen it said by a few people that there are a lot of horde mercing and alliance are winning more, etc. I started checking this at the start of every match. My win rates have been pretty consistent for most of BfA and the most I have personally seen was 4 mercs in a 15 man so my experience doesn’t line up with what I’m reading from the same few on the forums. I don’t see many mercs.
That said, I also don’t see these mercs who throw games or troll. I also don’t do epics. I have seen some pretty toxic ones, but no more toxic than normal bg chat without mercs. I am quick to tell the ones who start trashing alliance to do us all a favor and not merc though.
