I mean there are entire mechanics that I had no idea existed until I put in some time on my shadow priest. Most of the mechanics I just pop one of my 800 cooldowns and just eat them.
You just position the boss, move out of bad puddles then chill. Personally I find that I learn the dungeons better as a meat shield rather than a DPS. For, me at least is like of you are learning a new route to drive your car its easier to remember it if you are the driver rather than the passenger.
So DPS, next time the queue is too bad consider changing specs or leveling a meat shield of your very own. Its relaxing.

This wouldn’t bother me so much if I wasn’t seeing kyrian DHs pulling 12k every other pack. I feel borderline useless half the time.

Tanking is fun but I get anxiety lol. Like its dumb but I feel so much pressure even if my party aren’t saying anything.

Let me switch on over to my tank spec.

Yeah, tank anxiety is a serious thing - because it’s kind of an unspoken rule that you are the leader of the group as soon as you join so you have to be ready to adopt that attitude and lead the group.

The term is Tanxiety, common to all holy trinity DPS games =)

I used to get really bad tanxiety too, but it gets better the more you do it. Tanking for a guild group really helped me if it’s an option for you.
Also, my friend’s girlfriend is a serious ARMY and would love your name.
I comfort myself in knowing that if I go the wrong way or position an enemy incorrectly and the group kicks me, my wait time is 0.

interesting. according to the most recent simulationcraft data ; dh is very bottom of the list and hunter is in a very good spot.
Not dumb at all, I’m sure you do great. When we tank we impose a number of self assertionsvthat are only amplified by vocal discontent.
Overwhelmingly, people are glad you’re there so they can attempt content.
Adventure happens outside your comfort zone! Tank on!
Edit: phones suck

They meant vengeance, not havoc. It does a metric buttload of damage right now.

ah that makes sense now. my b
I do dread the beginning of expansions though. People yell at others who haven’t done the dungeons yet.
it’s not relaxing when you have to pull aggro off idiot dps who pull instead of you doing it, or when they hurl toxic trash at you for going too slow

because youre the general out there and if something goes wrong you feel like its on you. EVEN if it was the hunter who keeps spamming barrage and pulling stuff from everywhere.

True, and if you ever have any anxiety about tanking just remember that you don’t have a half hour queue to find a new group but the rude dps players do. Find a new group and don’t give a hoot about what they say.

Easy doesn’t mean fun.
Tanking has been made braindead for years now, that isn’t good news.
That also doesn’t mean its fun either, I have more fun tanking in Classic since I have mechanics to interact with like threat and CC, in retail? Just leeroy through 1, maybe 2 packs depending on how much gear i have and spam AOEs to keep infinite threat on target, and in general can ignore most mechanics because I take no damage

I kind of wish all of my damage wasn’t frontloaded into AoEs/cleaves though. I would at least love to have some good ST damage as well.
Blood DK damage just makes me want to go to sleep.
yep, it’s worse when you’re new to a dungeon you’ve done. 1 mistake and they want to kick you even if you did nothing wrong.
The best time to tank is the start of xpac the casuals aren’t maxed out so you don’t have to deal with their narcissistic entitled toxic attitudes over gear.
