Dear Blizzard

Can anyone sitting high up in the Ivory tower of developers please tell us lowly frost dk’s why Ret paladins templars verdict crits us for 35k while Obliterate crits them for 7k? Also if you could be so kind to explain why Paladins shield of vengeance hits us for 65k and my remorseless winter totals up to 15k dmg over time.

Please explain. This is insanely imbalanced.

Thanks.

Because we have even worse mobility than you, so they compensated by giving us copious damage.

I wouldn’t mind a damage nerf if they gave us our old mobility back.

you do not, you have hand of freedom and a pony.

Freedom gets dispelled. Pony gets rooted.

You have Death Grip, Death’s Advance passive, Death’s Advance active, a spammable, undispelable slow, and Wraith walk if you talent into it, and ways to deal some damage from range.

divine shield, lay on hands, a self heal you don’t need to almost die to use

Yeah because we’re so criminally slow that they made us top tier in damage and defense.

I don’t even want defensives that good. If they just took Ret back to WoD, that’d be great.

then come play a dk, similar mobility issues, worse defensives and cds. in a long run i’ve had plenty of tryhard rets chase me down, arena may be one thing where you are worrying about dispells, but everywhere else you have a clear advantage.

I’m siding with the DKs here.

Frost DKs don’t deserve to get shat on so badly. I feel like I do more damage in Blood spec than I do in Frost. Frostscythe is the only thing that feels like it hits for any decent damage, and even that isn’t enough.

My Ret pally, on the other hand, hits like a truck embedded in a tidal wave AND I can move around when needed.

Oh man.
Thanks for that.
I needed it.

Happy to help man

I have 391 ret paladin that i can hit 20k dps by pressing 3 buttons faceroll. On my unholy dk ilvl 414 i have to work twice as hard and press three times as many buttons to reach 20k dps on st regularlly without my 8min cd :frowning:

Both classes have mobility issues. I would dare to say that our mobility is actually worse than yours. We only have deaths advance… like Inemia said you have blessing of freedom and pony.

So the reality is we both wear plate, we can both self heal, we both have terrible mobility but the difference is the damage. Our damage is laughable while yours is scary. That is my complaint. Ret paladins can hit for 65k with shield of vengeance and 35k with templars verdict…

I think its safe to compare Rets templars verdict to Frosts Obliterate and the two skills don’t compare at all. My ilvl is 410 and i still crit for 7-8k with Obliterate while getting slapped with 35k crits from templars verdict… Its insane.

Your mobility is “bad” because your strength is bringing enemies to you. Saying you have bad mobility is disregarding the fact that you have a reverse Charge, a spammable and undispellable slow, Death’s Advance passive, Death’s Advance active, Wraith Walk talent, Deathchill pvp talent, Delirium pvp talent, and ways to deal some damage at range.

We have purgeable Freedom, a rootable horse, and a dispellable slow. Whoopee. Our damage is only sky-high because we have the lowest uptime on mobile targets out of any class.

Agree that Obliterate should hit harder, though.

If ff and auto attack were toned down and put back into oblit and our other abilities

As for our mobility on Wrath walk the community has been trying to convince them to get rid of it since we found out what is was and give back what we lost

You have mounted combat that you can use indoors… Ill trade you deaths advance and wraith walk to summon a deathcharger whenever i want for a couple seconds at a time.

Because we are undead and paladins do holy damage. Idk, frost sucks right now, and it will until mastery is changed to increase obliterates damage or obliterate does frost damage

“This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.”

WHY would you give away Death’s Advance and Wraith Walk (but especially Death’s Advance) for a slowable, rootable horse that costs a GCD to cast and gets stuck under low ceilings?

because im more for the class fantasy. running faster and turning into a ghost < summoning a deathcharger to speed into combat

Deathknights one, ret pallys zero.

you should not be opening with deathgrip though, its better to save it and use it as an interrupt. its not really reverse mobility either as we can’t use it to escape.
