Stop balancing all of PvP, based on Rated/Arena.

Just as you did when you separated PvE and PvP balance, make Arena/Rated a separate thing.

Everytime Paladins get nerfed. I take my fully geared Butt into the quickest unreated BG and create some new Paladin Trauma victems.

I swear after every Bg of just pure slaughter i add 4 or 5 posts to this forums traffic

Because paladin is stupid and broken still, that’1s why you get nerfed and kills everyone in bg using little effort. use your BRAIN

I don’t know why they balance pvp around arena 3x3, almost no one plays it or like it, it is just for streamers and sweaty arena players and wow isn’t and will never be an eSport game.

Makes more sense to balance pvp around random battlegrounds because it is way more popular.

thats a horrible take. im sorry but tuning should only be done in regards of top players doing the best they can with the spec. pushing it to its actual limits. thats like saying pve tuning should be done with heroic dungeons in mind.

Nah, you should never balance the game based on peak performance of R1 players, because almost no one play or will play on that level.

The game should have some challenges for the hardcore top players of course, but ultimately should be balanced for the average/casual player, because they are the ones keeping this game alive.

I actually feel they’re pretty balanced now and I haven’t even touched my ret this xpac. Strong, but not OP

this is again a very bad take, im sorry but you dont buff or nerf a spec based on casual performance. you tune it based on how far a person fixes it. yes there is tuning for casuals sometimes like the blind fury nerf/buff for havoc. but ultimately the bulk of tuning is based on performance of r1’s

Players can be average or casual and not play the game poorly, he is just average, like most players, you don’t balanced around bad players either.

Wow is not considered a high skill competitive pvp game, it is not even the focus of the game, it is not an eSport either. It makes no sense to balance it around 1% of the population in any content.

Example of that is the race for worlds first for Raids, where blizz overbuff the bosses because of the Top Pro guilds, after that they have to overnerf everything so the more average player can play the game or they will just quit and play another game.

They have to tune around M+ (the great push), 3v3 (AWC), and Raids (race to world’s first).

in the contrary as stated before, you balance around the people who push the limits of the spec. it makes no sense to balance pvp or pve on the subpar. this is how tuning works, if a green parse hunter does less dam than a orange parse paladin, this doesn’t mean hunter should be buffed

This last round of nerfs though hit hard since blizzards way to nerf Ret is always gut everything, instead of methodically nerf specific things. We are still good but now arenas is back to train the pink. Hope blizz actually only looks at arena deaths because I have a feeling Ret deaths are spiking, but with these last rounds of nerfs I’d have to say AW: Might should have been untouched but had its cd increased to 1.3 or 1.5 min, and now it feels like we need some mobility again.
