The joke was wow has been a treadmill since vanilla. Thus the vanilla ice cream gif too.
So 20 years of a loot/upgrade treadmill.
More gear/upgrades are the name of the game.

I highlighted the important part for you.
It very much is a tuning issue. Go look at the raid trinkets for healers on qelive (note, use dungeon option in the upper right as that’s what I’m talking about) and then get back to me. When you see one trinket super far ahead, and the next option pretty ahead too. I’m not sure what you were trying to say here honestly. There’s no amount of hand waving that is gonna make the math involved here disappear.
Conversely, we had the opposite issue last season where for healers, gale and sacbrood were better than the raid options but the gap was nowhere near as bad as it is this season.
I don’t honestly care about how things are for dps as I haven’t played dps for most of the past 2 decades in wow.
There are 100% people who did this. The class/spec guides on WoWhead even literally told people to plan their gearing around getting Mythic trinkets/weapons through Dinars.
https://www.wowhead.com/guide/classes/mage/fire/bis-gear
Puzzling Cartel Chip allow you to purchase raiding gear that is able to be upgraded to the Myth track. Puzzling Cartel Chips will be available starting May 13th.
If even the people who pay attention to this game the most, the people who write guides, were under the impression this was how Dinars would function, because that is how Blizzard said themselves they would function. Are the people who write guides also “entitled” to you? Is the world first raid leader of Liquid who downed Mythic Gallywix months ago also “entitled” to you because he assumed that was how Dinars would work and thinks that IS how they should work?
I’ve even seen people saying that they planned their vaults around Dinars. I’ve also seen people say the entire reason they returned for S2 was because of Dinars and the promise of Myth track trinkets/weapons to they can continue pushing keys.
It’s absolutely insane to say that it’s “entitlement” to expect Blizzard to literally do what they said they were going to do for months, only to change their mind at the last minute. I’m sorry, but you are just delusional.
I understand the concern there, but the ilevel jumps alone would make even capped out champ level S3 gear and trinks likely better than a 684 piece from this season. I just don’t believe that they would break the trend up to now and allow a seasonal rollover piece to reign supreme.
For a random delve trinket, that’s probably true. However, I’m pretty sure some of the bis raid trinkets could easily eclipse S3 champ delve trinkets.
Hell, just look at this season. A myth spymasters is still better than the majority of the crap delves offer.
Do you just not understand how seasonal games work or something?
I’m going to counter you here by pointing out that hero-track Mechano-Core Amplifier and Suspicious Energy Drink are arguably BiS overall (even against myth track trinkets) this season for a number of classes.
The takeaway is Blizzard has a notorious history for mis-balancing trinkets, and if their excuse is that they anticipate doing it again versus actually scaling their gear properly, that’s a continued failure on their part and even more reason to question the competency of the dinar rollout plan.
Can I get a TLDR? (even though I did read the whole post) what is the cartel chip thing the OP is on about?
OP gives feedback as to why he and others not enjoying the game. 100+ posts of White Knights telling him that his opinion his wrong now you’re all caught up.
What part of a seasonable game do I seem like I’m not understanding?
Or you could read what I said.
I don’t care about this season, I don’t care about any particular one season. Because it is bonkers to treat it as such. Unless you only care about this one and only one season, this line of thinking of yours can be fully rejected.
I already provided enough evidence to complete disprove what you said. No amount of “go look at X thing and do my job for me” can change that; unless you want to address what I said, that’s the end of that.
You do understand that these guides are built on a combination of speculation and the data available, right?
If you test something and write a guide to recommend X talent setups because it is “one of the best” or the like as is the case with many of the guides, that’s based on the data available. The data that was available is “this is a PTR thing and subject to change.”
If you write a guide based on non-existing data, you haven’t done anything yet because per definition you haven’t been able to. The existence of a guide and saying “People planned their gear for MONTHs on the vague idea of … something exists that does something vaguely reminiscent of dinars we have had in the past” are two different things.
You equating them, just like everyone else who made endless number of assumptions with no data, is on your head. Everything was subject to change until it hit live and guess what - it did change.
See that word that I have highlighted? “Similar” meaning “not the same.”
We had NO IDEA how they would work. Everyone assumed how they would work on the vague idea of ‘Hey, we have had dinars in the past’.
This is the part that you and others flat out refuse to acknowledge, making it clear that you don’t accept reality as a thing. We only knew that they wanted to implement a system similar to the dinars (indicating either a deterministic or a bad luck protection system, with the latter being more likely due to it being part of the season itself as opposed to an experimental full-size off-season) … and that’s it. Refusing to acknowledge that is the same thing as refusing objective reality. Stop it.
Unlike you, I read the blue post and even quoted it to you.
I know what it said, and they did what they said that they were going to do, since it was subject to revision. They clearly wanted it in the game, otherwise they wouldn’t have put it on the PTR, saw problems with it, removed it. All as they said in their original blue post could happen.
I’m not delusional when I’m reading to you exactly what they said. But you keep refusing objective reality which is far closer to the actual definition of delusional than anything else.
Yes. This is pure entitlement on your and others behalf refusing to acknowledge objective reality on the basis of “but mah free Mythic gear.”
Triggered much? Bro it has not even released. Also why does what others may or may not have make you so upset? Just work towards your goals if this is stopping you then that’s sad.
Literally makes zero sense. They’re upset about something that didn’t affect them and will continue to NOT affect them. Like bro you don’t even have a right to be mad!!!
And then goes on to give examples of a single track item like DF4.
If someone said the “train is coming” you’d be upset if 6 dudes showed up. Don’t even try to act like this isn’t a full on bait and switch.
“Single track item” so… you mean the thing we are getting?
Yeah, this is why none of ya’ll have any legs to stand on. “[…] these are intended to have their own upgrade track - which will mean they’ll scale to the maximum rank of 14 given enough crests and valorstones.”
It is honestly amazing to what levels ya’ll are going to in order to refuse to actually read the things that they have been saying.
Good thing we are getting what they said we were going to get. A similar system to be able to purchase gear when we participate in the content we play. This isn’t a bait and switch, this is ya’ll flat out refusing to live in objective reality and refusing to act in good faith.
All just because you are upset that one is getting Mythic level gear by merely logging into the game. So… yeah, it ain’t a bait and switch; ya’ll are just upset and acting as if ya’ll are entitled to stuff you ain’t. It is a game. Play the game. Quit whining (as well as making up stuff to call folks delusional and other nonsense like that) about the requirement being to play the game.
Do they pay you to heave your head so far up there?
You really can’t see why people are mad?
The irony here is that I lost interest when the post looked like a preface to a novel.
Who cares? WoW would move on without you.
You feel so entitled. Just so you know, that you are not that special. Good luck to find a better game than WoW.
Dude, you don’t have to lie about your achievements just to think you’re getting some credibility. The fact that you wanna leave before the reasons you wanna leave is fine. There’s no reason to add all the extraneous BS about you being whatever you called it two of eight mythic in a farmer is only guild. Oh wait you have two accounts right
Anyway, this is just so general discussion of you
See you in July
