Maybe devs want to get into the console action this holiday. I mean, they’re players too, right? Without having to worry and fixing stuff after a big launch.
November would be fine, single player games aren’t going anywhere. And lets be honest here… everything but cyberpunk stands a large chance of being a buggy mess, i don’t know about CP personally because i don’t like CDPR games, so it may be a buggy mess too.
But AC: Valhalla, that’s a Ubi game, it’s going to be months before that thing is good to play.
Late November seems very likely though and better. Releasing in December means it’ll clash with the holiday season. That was also the reason 8.3 was delayed longer.
I don’t think it matters at all coinciding with Cyberpunk’s release.
Personally, I just wish they didn’t use the term, “later this year”. Because if it goes to January, it will then start to tick of a lot of people. They should have just said that they need to delay the launch longer now and leave it at that.
Im definitely playing CyberPunk, till max completion at that. I have good anticipation about SL but CyberPunk is just on a whole other level of hype for me. We need more mature games period. I cant wait!
I mean they already stated prepatch is going to be in 2 parts. Along with they are offering refunds for the expansion at this moment in time, personally I won’t be pursuing one as I bought it with gold so IDC.
I feel like their going to have to release it during the holidays, and possibly push out the raid release schedules by a week to allow people to be able to catch up given a lot already took the time off. I do agree though that part of it is how ambitious this expansion is now that I got beta. It really is a lot different and more scaled up compared to previous releases.
Anyways, imo I hope they do launch during then because it will keep a lot of the non stop flying threads from happening because they will be playing Cyberpunk and maybe by the time they are done and playing catch up that they won’t start their gating whines (flying especially) until closer to the first patch.
Shadowlands will flop if released in November, because whose buying and playing Shadowlands over 2077 and the legion of other industry titan AAA titles releasing?
December will be ruled almost entirely by next gen consoles. This is also a bad time to drop Shadowlands.
The best marketable window right now is January, as im not aware of any competition present then.
at this point they took the delay they better use it. push it out when they are actually comfortable but also give us a heads up early on the release date. they can’t do it at specific times during the month i think due to how the content layout typically is unless they plan to hold it off for the holidays.
i think December 1st. gives us some decent time to get raid for raid. might push the raid back 1 week usually it comes out on the 3rd week right? 2nd i believe is mythic dungeons and then raid/m+ comes out the week after i believe.
