Firstly, I do not claim to be good. I main warlock usually afflic. Like many others destro is the spec to play at so I’ve switched over. Idk how to deal with melee mainly warriors on my destro.
I use defensives and know to gate the spear go. But for every mobility I use they have a charge or leap for me… I am getting trained down in solos. You cant realy on teammates to (peel,cc,etc) what are some outplay tips i may not be aware of???
It just seems there is to much mobility in the game on every class (besides maybe paladins). Also healers now almost all have kicks… Im at 1700 mmr.
Some tips are to max usage of curses. Slow on one and no crits for the other melee, cast time on healer. Use port behind a wall to buy time. Rely on instant casts for pressure and force defensives.
Casters need so much positioning. Otherwise hard to say. Some lobbies just rough.

Thanks for the replies. I instantly and keep curse of weakness on warrs and most crit heavy dps. tongues on healer. Exhaustion typically only on paladins or situational… It just doesn’t seem to be enough when I’m not able to get any bolts off. Ill live a decent while as i go threw my cds and mobility but to no avail usually.
It just feels that every class has to much now there is no (class identity anymore) if warrs get two charges and a leap and intervention as mobility bring back destro casting chaos bolts on the move from mop!
gate is like the only reliable way in the whole game to get out of the broken af ability known as kyrian spear
that’s all i got for ya

You can also use fears to bait interrupts to clear the way for chaos bolt, but honestly, better to get used to mostly instant casts on lock when trained by 2x melee.
Here comes an 80k chaos bolt! holy crap. This buff was such a massive L for us. 100% KT every single round after the fact yet we have way less threat than before due to cleave nerf. However OP, yeah you’re mainly stuck keeping immolate up and insta casts while porting on CD, You have about 2-2.30 minutes to secure a kill or youll be zooged. Play Demo just run zoo build youll get the complete opposite treatment from zuggers

the shadowy cabal of warrior players have gotten together and decided that from here on, roar will be the play for the remainder of the season so we can keep it strong going into s2
im probably gonna be reprimanded for sharing sacred knowledge, but im reaching out in defiance

great now everyone will have a roar airhorn
thanks
how do you prep for roar other than seeing badge+cs go out
offense can be a very good defense as destro. Triple rifts on the melee that is on you usually gets them to play defensive and back off. Especially warriors. Can they even spell reflect it? Also this is where I say void elf might actually be the best race for lock because that void blink or whatever is basically your third portal and can be a game changer to get you away and buy just enough time for your next portal. Not so much for you since you are orc (?) but anyone looking to roll a lock.
I can’t offer much… I can tell you that from DH perspective im far less likely to train you if you can make doing so feel like a dangerous waste of time.
If I see a lock making strategic use of defenses and casting a combination of fears and life drain to make it clear he is going to sustain usually your teammate becomes he more tempting target.
Don’t try to kite or slow a DH though. Its like running from a bear or spilling blood in the water. It immediately shows you are unsure on how to deal with being pressured and no combination of gates, teleport ( on you or me) is going to be enough to shake a dh.
I am looking to replace the airhorn with peppinos scream from pizza tower
bad warlocks and paladins will sit on gate and bop waiting for spear not using either before they die
You have to. It isn’t an option. Lock teams rely heavily on the healer in particular. A good healer will make kiting much easier for you.
