Deadmines loot

So i was watching the Vid of asmongold doing Deadmines(VC) I thought blue loot dropped from bosses from what i remembered. instead the bosses were dropping greens.

First one drops nothing.

And only Van Cleef has all blues others have green in their loot tables

“All bosses always drop blues” was a post-Vanilla change. In Vanilla, many low-level instance bosses had green items on their drop table.

Not all bosses drop blues. Weird, isn’t it? Even more weird, not all blues are really as great as their color indicates. Blackfang, for example.

Only other blues that drop are rare drops from trash, if I recall. The Defias set. There are quite a few bosses in Vanilla that straight up never dropped gear.

ahhh ok that makes sense cause i started at the end of vanilla. I dont think i even did VC until like i was lvl 19.

Correction–they never dropped my binding or eye or my pants when I wanted,

Smites Mighty Hammer

Emberstone Staff

Defias Armor

Cruel Barb

Oversairs Corsomething

And Cape of the Brotherhood

I think thats all the blues in Deadmines

Edit: just remeber Taskmasters Axe
And Cookies Stirring Rod if its a blue

we used to call Deadmine VC which stood for a vancleef run. at that point i was after double Cruel barbs for a rogue.

Pfft us launch day/beta pros called it DM, as it was in the game for almost a year before Dire Maul.

Honestly though we mostly just typed out Deadmines, we were hardcore like that.

yea i started in like summer 2006 around june when i graduated from 8th grade, so my memory is a bit cloudy of how the loot was.

Corsair’s Overcoat but yes.

There are green drops in every dungeon. Even UBRS and Stratholme and Scholomance.

this may end up being the difference most people will notice between retail and classic if you didn’t play back then. how much rarer blues+ are

Why can’t we have purples? I just don’t get it. All bosses drop purple gear at every point in the game right?

The only reason to run Deadmines (DM) is for Cookies Tenderizer. :sunglasses:
