Deadbeat Dads has existed in some capacity or form since 2009. Originating on Kargath Alliance in November of 2009 as Reconstructed, we have now become the Horde guild Deadbeat Dads of Zul’Jin. We have withstood the tests of time for one simple reason, friendship. It is the core value of everything we do here at Deadbeat Dads. In a game with many raiding options, players are often inclined to “see if the grass is greener” for many reasons (progression, attendance issues, raid environment etc.). We have found that this is minimalized and reduced when people are surrounded by those they consider friends. We are loyal to one another, and as a result the guild.

I really have liked my time in DBD so far. Their raid leader last expansion was such a great guy probably the best hunter I have ever played with. Vocoh, Aldiron, and Edgy (all three are extremely attractive) have done such an amazing job this expansion guiding this team in the right direction.

Things to Consider before applying:
Does my attitude and outlook toward the game match that of the guilds mission?
1. The guild is here to provide a positive gaming community for those that choose to play here. The environment will be positive in culture and progressive in nature. In short, toxicity will not be tolerated.
2. We want to progress and achieve as much progression as we can with the players we have, which means we all have to do our part. That starts with showing up, attendance is of paramount importance. If you sign up to raid three days a week, we expect you there, if you can’t make it, post out. Life happens, and we carry more than 20 players to account for that, but don’t leave us wondering.
3. Monitor your own performance, no one wants to be micromanaged and none of our leadership want to micromanage. Conduct your own log review, be hungry to increase your own performance and always want to push the envelope of what you can do with the class and gear you have.
4. Leadership has a difficult and thankless job, please be patient as we try things out, some will work and some won’t. This includes everything from loot council to roster decisions, trust that if you are on our team we will look out for you. If you have ideas or concerns, bring them to us, we get better together. In short, we are people, but we are also dedicated to continuous improvement, ask any raider here and they will tell you we listen to feedback and implement solutions.
5. Come prepared, officers will do a lot of the heavy lifting with strategies, but as the old saying goes, 20 heads are better than one. Everyone’s 10mins of pre raid prep and mechanic understanding will shave hours off the time we spend on a boss as a group. Don’t be that guy.
