Once again I had to swap my character to another realm since my original realm is so dead. No one doing rares or the events on my og realm. Thanks Blizzard for not doing something about this when you easily can. I Shouldn’t have to pay more money just to do a patch I already bought.

The whole logic of having a very small group of populated servers and a stupidly large number of dead servers is so mind numbingly dumb.
How have they not just compressed the servers at this point?

We’re sorely overdue for all servers being rolled into 1-5 megaservers per region.
They have the technology. It would make the game a better experience for almost every player. But they don’t because there’s no profit incentive.

I mean, just make a character on a busier server and see how the people are before investing.

Struggling with a dead server cause no one is there to do anything with. What part doesn’t click? No one is forcing you to pay for a transfer. Try a different server and re level, or does that take your reason to complain away?

i think it is because they do not want to deal with the duplicate name issue, yes i know it could be dealt with, but then Bobby would have to give up more yacht money.

Names are a reason, at least I think they be one. Though I always thought then why not make an option to show BattleTag or Characters name? So that we can create a character with a name we want, and so to prevent people getting confused as to who is who, they could then proceed to check the BattleTag name. Like an option within the options under the Social Tab.
I mean, I do not know how to code that so I wont say it would be easy, but I imagine that could solve the issue perhaps.

This is why they will NEVER do anything about dead realms. As long as people will pay to move, they’ll continue to just milk it.

They could honestly just make it where people who have the same names just show the #numbers in their btag somewhere in the character tooltip or something of this nature. Thats how Riot did it with Valorant.

They connected some and hopefully will connect more. But there will never be mergers. Ion made that pretty clear in the Q&A.
No we aren’t. This game has so many lag issues and there’s zero reason to screw people out of names and guild names.
Megaservers are always a bad idea in MMORPGs like this and high pop servers can’t be merged with others. They already have problems.
