I am currently on kalecgos a truly dead server can you please review server populations I would like to play with people and not have crazy ah prices due to lack of players
Zuljin would be nice to be with my other characters and friends but I’ll take anything at this point it’s truley tragic

You always do have the option to server transfer if you desire.
They are always looking at possible battlegrouo mergers and evaluating. If you do not want to wait, however and don’t want to transfer you can always reroll a new toon. You can have up to 50 on a single license.

I don’t think battlegroups have been a thing for a while.
Prior to SL launch, they had a plan to connect smaller servers to give a more standardized experience to players. After a technical issue that plan quietly went away.

Weren’t they linking some dead servers together but they messed things up causing characters to get deleted or something so they ended up stopping?

They really need to give free transfers off of dead servers.
I was on a one that got merged with two others and it was still really bad compared to a high/full server.
We could only afford 1 troll for all of trade.
Meanwhile servers like Area52 and Stormrage have a surplus.

I chose my server because i didn’t know what it meant and I found that interesting.

It is quite dead as well! But something good that comes with that… no people spamming carries in trade chat!
It’s insane that just 2 server transfers costs more than the base price for Shadowlands lol. I’m against it even over the sub fee because it makes no sense for a simple transfer between servers to be more expensive than access to all the games features.

And you have a ton of available names on dead servers.
That’s the worst part about moving to a high pop/full server

That’s a big reason why I’m not playing BC. Even if I cloned my level 60, I’d still have to buy a transfer to a non-dead server.

Ye unfortunately I was on a completely dead server too, there’s only like 5-10 alive servers and all teh other 100 o em is dead.

They have reviewed server pops and made a few changes.
The big one though hit a snag.
Honestly if you can’t transfer, just reroll on zul’jin, thrall, what have you.
It doesn’t take long anymore to level to 50. Can’t say to 60 since I’ve begun to dread SL leveling lol
I ended up transferring off my old server.
Dropped a ton of gold on tokens, paying real money would have been way too expensive.
I even lost a lot of names likely forever in the process.
That’s how bad low pop servers are, I was willing to give up names I had for over a decade.
Blizzard ignoring the server pop issues for years and selling the solution is about as corporate as it gets though.
Reroll is an option, but I personally could never give up my characters, gold, etc… like that.

All of rhst said, and I already said it once, this thread started in the CS forum. As is the nature of the CS forum, the information and options available were presented.
I will add, I think it sucks for the OP. I think they are garbage options and wish I had a better option to provide as well. Just to clear up any confusion as to how I personally feel VS current options available.

Sorry, been playing the game and didn’t realize people were hanging on this.
Leveling is a lot slower in classic and bc. A lot of people will not consider doing this. It took me literally months to get a character to 60, as I was not a powerleveler.

I think the issue is that there are some people that don’t realize you were speaking objectively on the OP’s problem with solutions because there is no reason for you to put your opinion on a thread about support.
