De Other Side timer is too tight

This dungeon, fortified or tyrannical, seems to have a very tight timer, along with the bosses being overtuned and having soft enrages or gimmicks, for example

Hakkar: you’ll get overwhelmed by adds and I think there’s an enrage?

Manastorms: If you kill the male gnome too fast, you won’t be able to shadowfury the female gnome to stop her raining robot chickens

Artificer: Arc lightning damage is extremely high and this unfavors any groups with 2 melee. Damage overall is too high on this boss along with mechanic forcing you to go into the air and take fall damage unable to do any actions during the flight

Last boss: Fine enough if you one phase. Dead key if otherwise.

This dungeon is reminding me of King’s Rest in BFA. A slog that nobody wants to go through that can kill your key early on.

And Necrotic Wake reminds me of Siege of Boralus. Sanguine Depths is Tol Dagor! Feels really bad when you have a 3/8 chance of rolling any of these. If the timer was more generous De Other Side wouldn’t be as bad.

meanwhile Mists you 2-chest derping maze. that timer should be reduced considerably…nay…BIGLY.

his tank DoT hit for 8-9k+ per second on tyrannical 14.

killing the adds is the easy part.

I disagree simply because of what happened with AD in BFA. Once the timer was clipped it became an excruciatingly awful dungeon for the rest of the expansion.

yeah ive only done it on a 12 in time this week. not many pushers out there. damage towards the end of the fight was pretty high, nearly wiped.

My opinion is:

De other side should gain 1 minute to its timer.

Mists should lose 1-2 minutes in its timer.

Theater of pain should lose 1 minute on its timers

But that is purely my opinion to balance out some of the keys I witnessed these last 2 weeks.

So don’t do that?! That’s not a tuning problem, that’s a don’t mindlessly tunnel problem.

Seriously, burn Millhouse, then pop cooldowns for Millfficent, then finish off Millhouse. Before you finish either one, you need to make sure the other one is low enough that you can burn them before their ultimate comes out.

subcreation has TOP at only C tier, and B tier last week, based on all +10 and higher runs.

Based on that, Mists might need a minute or two trimmed, and SD, DoS, and arguably NW need either time added or a revision to some mechanics.

And can we please make the FPs in SoA better? They take so god-awful long. And if you wipe to the 2nd boss, it resets you to the first boss platform, which is literally a 2-3 minute run back due to the flight paths and circuitous route. Just give us one of those shimmery teleporter pads that the Kyrian have as their transport network or that you use to get in and out of Hero’s Rest.

Seriously, you can burn without cooldowns. Just smack the boss. I don’t mean burst the crap out of him. In fact, I mean exactly the opposite. DPS him down normally, then pop coolies and burst Millificent instead. That lets you interrupt her ultimate, and then you just finish off Manastorm afterwards.

I thought theater of pain was a bit tight. I had a group that didn’t wipe at all and we barely made the timer. Compared to other dungeons where you can wipe multiple times and have lots of time to spare

ToP needs like +2-3 min to its timer. That place is tight to get timed. You can have zero wipes and still not time it because it’s literally a dps check dungeon. Same with De Other Side.

i also agree that de other side timer is too tight. you can not wipe and barely make the timer. honestly adding 2-3 minutes would bring it more in line.

Artificer definitely seems a bit overtuned. I think the rest of the dungeon is okay though but agreed the timer is really tight.

NW is more like shrine of the storm to me. Too many casters!!!

Oh its was too tight. I quad pulled some packs in the fairy area. Pulled fast, double pulled the first pack on a +8 and there was only 2 mins left on the timer.

The timers that Blizzard use are arbitrary, completely random. I think it needs atleast 5 mins added.

In addition to everything said, the dungeon has a very high mob kill count as well, with the only flexibility being in the Artificer wing.

I think that this dungeon still needs to be changed for the timer. 5 mins extra on the timer needed?

2 more minutes would be fine. Compared to other keys at the same level where mistakes are recoverable, DOS requires you to have a flawless run to finish in time. I looked at our last run and with zero wipes there was 9 minutes of time spent out of combat. WAY too much running around empty hallways in there.
