Hi,
I just died on my level 41 troll hunter - Tuskes - after severe lag in Feralas on Doomhowl. There were several lag spikes before and then a lag spike which lasted approximately 40 seconds.
Anyone else die around the same time? It was ~5:10-5:15pm server time on Doomhowl.
Hoping it wasn’t just me and they can revive the characters that died as a result of their server issues, as my internet didn’t disconnect or have any problems.

if it was a DDoS or Blizz caused server crash there would have been a ton of posts by now.
and as i said when they started reviving people in HC, made the point of hc even more of a joke now lol
I lost my highest-lvl hardcore char a few weeks ago, to some sort of server-issue. Whether it was a DDOS or something else idk, but since it was a friday night and two major guilds were in the middle of big raids I’m inclined to think it was DDOS. It definitely wasn’t an issue on my end, when I reconnected my party members said they “saw the deaths rolling in” and LFG chat was filled with chatter about ‘DDOS!’ and ‘lag spike?’.
They started reviving people around this time last year because OnlyFangs’ raid got interrupted by a DDOS. I think that was the right call. But the fact that they choose to do it so rarely is very discouraging. I can’t help but feel like I’m not important enough to rez, or I simply wasn’t “lucky enough” to die with enough other people that it was worthwhile for them to rectify the situation.
Because of this, I’m done with wow. The only wow I wanna play is hc, but I can’t stand working hard and then losing progress to something beyond my control. I haven’t reached 60 yet, but I did lose a 53 priest last year to my own bad choices. I can accept that. I can’t accept what was obviously a verifiable server-side issue, and not just not getting rez’d, but not even hearing any comment from Blizz’s side.
I posted in the forums weeks ago. I commented on other’s posts who seemed to experience the same situation as me, just week before I did. Nothing from blizzard but “you signed up for this”. Well, I signed up with the understanding that if OnlyFangs gets rez’s, then anyone else in their situation gets one too. I guess blizz’s interpretation of “their situation” happens to include “big and famous” and/or “too widespread to ignore”. Quite disappointing. Canceling my wow subscription and finding something else to play.

No one is DDOSing Hardcore servers, none of the guilds are “major”. They DDOSed onlyfangs because it was streamers and they could watch their handiwork live and laugh at their wipes. No one cares enough about any of the few remaining Hardcore guilds to DDOS.
The worst thing about the onlyfangs thing is that now idiots think every time they have lag it’s a DDOS.
