DDOS attacks are affecting players damage in rated bgs

Unless I use a vpn I do less damage than a rogue on a demon hunter every game in rated bgs. If I use a vpn I do top damage. After a couple weeks of using the same vpn site I will start to do last damage again. If I start using a different vpn site my damage will go back up to top damage. This doesn’t just affect me in rated bgs. If I go into random bgs without a vpn or the same vpn ive been using for a couple of weeks I will do last damage as well. Blizzard please look into this…

This is a new one…

Noticing this as well . Don’t know what’s it from could be rng? But it’s consistent

assuming this is correct and not confirmation bias, then i don’t think a DDoS attack would be the culprit, perhaps a bad network node on the ISP. using a VPN just changes the source IP you are seen coming from on the server side. if another player was DDoSing your VPN exit node, then switching to another would solve the issue. but that isn’t anything on blizzard’s end to deal with.

i will say this: the scaling code in pvp needs to be made public for examination, sometimes it seems like you hit like a truck and feel invincible, other times it seems like you equipped a pool noodle and paper armor. my tin foil hat theory is that scaling is being used to try and turn games from the server side, essentially rigging it in favor of one faction or another depending on global balance.

Blizzard probably isn’t that smart.
