DDoS Attack Confirmed

That would only be likely if they didn’t have at least a vendng machine that carried Moon Pies in place.

There is nothing quite as satisfying as an RC cola and a Moon Pie.

Didn’t he lose a ship while fighting a landlocked area?

he has lost several ships including the flagship of the Black Sea, to a nation that has no navy. That is skill right there

You love to see it

No, they think they’re Mr Robot or Zero Cool

I’m sure Blizzard is slacking some here but this is partially a matter of scale. Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc have redundancy for their redundancy for their redundancy all the way through the chain, so if say their EST datacenters are getting hammered their load balancers just route things to their CST and PST datacenters and everything still works, albeit with a bit of extra latency.

For the game servers in particular I haven’t seen anything that suggests that they can e.g. spin up shards for an EST realm on a PDT datacenter. The impression one gets is that their current cloud infrastructure is a bit of a bodge with a bunch of holdovers from the days when realms were physical server blades.

“Russian hackers”

My gaming tonight was smooth as silk, no interruptions whatsoever.

Granted, I was playing Breath of the Wild, but still…

What? I don’t know either of those.

Ah explains the 1600+ MS World yesterday. Was kinda heavy.

Again, not a ddos it was a substance fueled abuse party.
Hi forum “The Nothing” it’s ok if you eat my posts, truth hurts.

How exactly do you predict when these things happen ? It’s always the armchair IT types that posts things like this, just saying.

So the attack lasts for like 2 seconds then we continue our game. Why even make a post about it?

“BLIZZARD CONFIRMED IT”

good for them I guess? The big question is who cares?

If it happens repetitively and keeps kicking me then I’d be concerned.
