DDoS and now my ISP

I’m using Comcast in South Florida. And I lasted maybe an hour or two throughout the attack trying to get onto my realm. However now my internet is down entirely. And my resource monitor has weird spikes in network connection.
I found a svchost that has network traffic and I can ping that ip (239.255.xxx.xxx) which afaik is very suspect. However no other address comes back with a ping.
I’m just worried that somehow my PC may have become a ‘zombie’ or sheep in this whole matter. Done countless power cycles, and contacted my ISP and they did Jack all, and scheduled a probably useless technician to come Monday.
Anyone have any ideas to address this? Sheer coincidence? Maybe I’m too skeptical.

unplug everything?

Have you tried turning it off then on again?

Currently my PC is disconnected, I’m on my phone and using data. Its just too strange of an occurrence to not assume correlation. I never have issues, haven’t had one in years, and of all the times.

Try unplugging everything until tomorrow.

make sure it’s also disconnected from the net as well. Probably good to dc whole house till someone can verify one way or the other.

I would anyway, not worth taking the chance, and I’d want no part of being part of a ddos.

I feel your pain though, I’d feel same way if it were me.

Run a full scan and try doing a soft restore to a later point before you started having trouble. If you have good virus protection you probably aren’t infected.
