Before the pre-patch update, I was working on the meta achievement and had progressed with two: Rusziona and Belastrasza in the “Daycare Derby” achievement. However, since the pre-patch was released, for the past eight days, the only two quests I have been offered are the same two (even though I already have 4 out of 5 whelpings completed in the “Hey Nanny Nanny” achievement). The worst part is that when I try to do the quest, it goes into loading, and when it finishes, I’m back in front of the NPC. Today I received the mission “Zhoomsa” with a different whelping, Zhusadormu. But when I accepted and went to the loading screen to do the race, I was teleported to the middle of the ocean, extremely far from the coast of the Dragon Isles. I disabled all addons, reloaded, and nothing makes the mission work. With the expansion’s final stretch, I’m trying to finish “A World Awoken” as quickly as possible, but it doesn’t seem like Blizzard wants to cooperate with that.

One thing that has worked for other people (but did not work for me) is trying to start the quest while dismounted. I’ve seen at least three people say that worked for them (including one in my thread). I also saw a comment from another person saying that they had a WeakAura bugging it and that they were able to do it once the addon had been disabled. Trying both might make it work?
I personally had no luck doing either of those things but since it sounds like they’ve worked for others, can’t hurt to try.
I disabled all my addons and picked up the quest while dismounted, but it didn’t work. Later, I played on my laptop (a different one) and the quest simply worked. The funniest thing is that the next day I went back to the first laptop, and the quest wasn’t working again.
First tried to do Blistering Belastrasza, while mounted it kicked me out, I immediatly dismounted which caused me to get the timer for the race (3 seconds I think it was) and then teleported me to “The Waking Shores” on the coast around 41 34 Cords. When I got back to the npc, and tried doing the quest dismounted, it worked.
After I finished the race, I tested a few things. Not once could I get “Practice Makes Perfict. Belastrasza”, but it worked when dismounted. Next I tried turning off skyriding, and now I can’t do the quest it keeps porting me back (mounted or dismounted, skyriding on/off). After loging out and back in, I was able to do the Practice race, but If I changed flight mode it would not let me do the race until I relogged, Reloading did nothing.
