Took my best Cinderbrew key and compared it to my best Stonevault just because I hated what current season breakdown looks like. Granted I know that I am comparing maxed out last season to only heroic gear so far this season, but even still the damage breakdown difference is insane. This is comparing 632 Ilvl last season (pre circlet) to 662 this season.
S1 +11 Stonevault:
DPS Done: 774k Personal | 787k Given | 1561k Total | 49.6% personal, 50.4% given
S2 +10 Cinderbrew:
DPS Done: 1381k Personal | 926k Given | 2307k Total | 59.9% personal, 40.1% given
Personal increased by 178%, given by 117%, total by 148%, damage shifting to personal by 10.1%.
S1 +11 Stonevault:
Buff uptime: Ebon Might 69%, Shifting Sands 36%
S2 +10 Cinderbrew:
Buff uptime: Ebon Might 76%, Shifting Sands 57%
Ebon might +7%, Shifting Sands +21%
Dmg Breakdowns:
S1: Ebon Might - 19.29%, Eruption - 19.13%, BoE - 11.49%, Upheaval - 11.39%, Shifting Sands - 9.78%, Bombards - 7.21%, Fire Breath - 7.04%, Prescience - 6.83%, Living Flame - 4.03%, Blistering - 1.7%, Inferno Bless - 1.3%
S2: Eruption - 20.32%, Upheaval - 18.86%, Ebon Might - 12.71%, BoE - 9.2%, Shifting Sands - 7.87%, Prescience - 7.74%, Fire Breath - 6.02%, Bombards - 6%, Blistering - 3.16%, Living Flame: 2.65%.
Most of these are within 1-2% of the same values, Upheaval went up by 7.47%, Eruptions are almost the same, but the wild thing is HOW MUCH MORE uptime we have of Ebon Might and Shifting Sands, yet Ebon Might damage went down by 6.58% despite the increase, and shifting sands was down 2% despite a WILD +21% increase in uptime. Like this is a joke. Granted I know Ebon Might only affects the DPS now, but the changes were suppose to make it only slightly worse than buffing the full group, not miles worse.
With the uptime differences, Ebon Might should still be around 20% of our breakdown, and Shifting Sands should be 11.8% of our breakdown. That is roughly 12% of our DPS missing from just those two spells. Taking a look at the average Aug DPS on Archon of 1.9M, if we had those changes that would put us at 2.13M DPS on average, which is still INCREDIBLY low compared to the 2nd lowest DPS of 2.5M.
Obviously take all of this with a grain of salt as I am just raging and data collecting because that is better time spent than actually trying to play the spec. Even if the changes got reverted Aug would be looking at about 2.4M DPS on average which is still the lowest, but at least it wouldn’t be competing with FREAKING TANK DAMAGE.
