Unless they host classic with the crusade patch (like one of my threads suggest) then you get what you get with classic. I don’t know why they are even doing the few changes they are. Either go all in, or all out, pick 1. By riding the fence they ensure that NO ONE will be happy.

idk man, I’m pretty happy. I don’t think incremental changes are a bad thing assuming they intend to continue with seasons. I wouldn’t mind crusade patch talents, but I don’t think it’s the end of the world if we don’t have them.
I’m not playing a feral this go round, but the crusade patch also gimps feral’s threat gen so I can see reasons for not wanting the change.

Day 5 in the troll wilds. The native trolls are getting restless. I think they might be onto me. Oh no! One of them pointed in my direction and made an animated angry shout! I will withdraw for now.

Literally all the raid content is different in some way. When you change a fight, you change the way a class performs in that fight. What even is this “core gameplay?” Controls, avatar, and skill / spell use to engage the player have remained the same forever. Just because your lightning bolt costs less mana doesn’t change the core aspect of the game at all.

These changes revealed people’s ignorance and bias, or the combination of both. Raid changes affect class balance, can’t divorce the 2. That was their whole point of these anti-melee mechanics, it stopped melee stacking meta, but all it did was shuffle the meta classes for the top place.
Then gear is available in P1 for rogue which is BIS until AQ, which is Phase 5, Phase 5 is the 10th month.
Buffs for already meta classes and indirect nerf after nerf to all non-meta specs…

day 7… I realized one ball was larger than the other.
Players calling other players out of touch when blizzard was too busy getting drunk to bother with the player base… Rip cords being pulled left and right to satisfy the massive quality of life asks on retail. Buffing meme specs has been an ask for longer than just recently. This really isn’t an unreasonable ask.

In my opinion the guilds that don’t follow the 20 warrior raid meta will be the top guilds of SOM because it means they created a strat and downed bosses instead of just zugging.
Yeah but I think we can see from classic that guilds don’t care about things like that as opposed to fast clear times.
It will be interesting to see. I wasn’t going to play som but guildies from my classic guild asked me too so going to try it out.

Without trying to sound like a troll (which really isn’t my intent), the point of SoM, and Classic in general is to play the game as it was. If you don’t like how it was, then why are you playing it? Complaining about an old game seems, well, a lot of words come to mind, but none are complimentary or nice, so I won’t elaborate.
