Tl;dr: WoW’s content quality is in the toilet. Game breaking bugs across the entirety of the game and poor class/dungeon tuning has soured the experience.
The War Within is on pace to being a failure.
FFXIV’S mainstay was MSQ, and their current MSQ offerings look to be pretty pathetic.
As an enjoyer of FFXIV, I’m done with it for a while. Endwalker’s launch story was decent but had holes. Every post-MSQ quest chain was absolutely mediocre imo, and Dawntrail’s MSQ looks even more mediocre.
Is Dawntrail the latest final fantasy expansion?
I couldn’t play that game. Zones are the size of one of those little side caves in WoW, and the movement is all floaty and trash. Plus the art style looks like vomit if vomit were made of dry cardboard and chalk.

Warrior Vs. Samurai, I’d rather play Arms instead if it came down to choosing, I can AoE fear, stun, have defensives like DbTS, Ignore Pain, etc
Samurai is about doing ST combo in 1, 2, 3 or AE with 1, 2 to stock your Sen and dump it all along while also dumping its rage bar(Forgot what it’s called.)
To me, you can really wing it with the things WoW class provides in a dungeon should the tank die. FF14’s job are too safe with its options to provide that type of expression.

Functionally speaking, TWW has more content at launch than Dawntrail does. TWW will also see more content per patch than Dawntrail does. TWW content has thus far at least attempted to make some steps forward, where Dawntrail has stagnated.
TWW has technical issues, but I’ll take growing pains with the growing rather than no growing pains because the game is going nowhere, which is what happened with Dawntrail.

Ive tried ffxiv free trial like 3 times now and ive never hit level 50. So slow and boring.

I would say you’re arguing to recognize their superiority in content stability and consistency. Quality… Eh. The content they push was quality back in Shadowbringers. It hasn’t changed and feels forced now.
