DAWNBREAKER DUNGEON - Major issues with normal/heroic and follower dungeon versions

First i am not sure if all or some of this is Druid only issues, the first major issue i notice is that using flight form when flying is enabled in combat to fly off of the dawnbreaker, only works part of the time, and when it does work, i cant land on the other ships, it just clips me right through like the ship is not solid. Often i find myself switching to flight form and jumping off the ship only to find that it did not work it changed me to stag (using the travel form shortkey which is part of the druid stance bar). I Believe this is because the travel form button on the stance bar is the issue, and flight form button was never added to the stance bar because travel form is supposed to auto choose between flight mode or stag mode (ground travel) based on whats available with priority of flying over ground, but it just never works consistently in the Dawnbreaker dungeon, this does not just happen with follower dungeons but also with heroic and normal with other people too, ive been kicked because i wasnt able to get flight form working as i thought it was only a one time glitch the first time. So far i learned my lesson and i use the actual mount which works every time, but i would love flight mode for druids to work because thats part of my roleplay/enjoyment of the class. The other issues are specifically Follower dungeon only issues:

  1. Even when the button is enabled to make the tank lead, many times the tank does not lead, they do not ever lead when jumping down a ledge or in this case when jumping off the ship - this is fine except for that it takes forever for the lead to mark the house to fly to, by now i know which house this is but it could be an issue for new players who try it, especially since some of us use follower dungeons to LEARN the mechanics so we dont mess up for other people.
  2. When landing at the house in the Dawnbreaker instance, the tank Garrick will take the lead just fine when clearing the mobs, however when the boss walks up to the house she will just stand there like a statue until the boss walks away and comes back. Ive watched two patrols come and go before i gave up and pulled the boss for her. This is a problem because as soon as i did that, she only tanked the boss for about ten seconds before running around the square pulling every single mob and nearly wiping the group. She seems to do this every time.
  3. When back on the dawnbreaker, the first part of the fight is fine but when the final boss turns into the creature, the other NPC DPS will hurry to grab the barrels but instead of quickly throwing they will stand there for a long time like they dont know what to do, and then run at the boss and throw them at the very edge making most of them go flying far off the edge and not hit the boss. Since they grab the barrels too quick, my only fix for this is to let one or two of them die, then grab the barrels myself.
  4. EVERY single time when doing this dungeon as a follower dungeon, when we land at the final phase of the last boss, the tank again hesitates a LONG time to attack the boss, then since the boss doesnt wait no matter where you land and starts attacking us, inevitably we all wipe because no dps gets done to the boss for some reason, i see the other characters appear to attack it but the health of the boss does not go down AT ALL, i have tried this for about 10 minutes straight just healing and healing until i ran out of mana and the boss never goes below 60%ish it seems, then we all wipe, ressurect at the ship and fly back down, THIS time the tank will attack the boss and dps happens so quick i barely get a chance to heal a single person before the boss dies, almost like all the dps from the first attempt suddenly starts to work.

I dont know if ANY of these issues are just me, it might be noteworthy to mention that i am queueing as Resto Druid Healer (this is ALL i play, i dont play any other classes or specs or builds, i just want to be good at healing resto druid and its what i enjoy so pls no hate) I have zero issues with any other dungeons, i have no problems healing heroics which seem almost easier than follower dungeons to heal, but even in heroics in other dungeons im able to catweave and keep up with dps while healing, but this ONE dungeon Dawnbreaker i am SO AFRAID to queue with REAL people because of how much it messes up for me that i dont want to screw it up for other people but there is definitely some bugs here. Hopefully im not alone and some other resto druid has noticed this or someone else. Im willing to jump in a dungeon with someone to show them what i mean because i guarantee if im in there as resto druid with a follower tank, all these issues will happen, and most of them will happen in normal dungeons as well.

I just tried to do The Dawnbreaker as a follower dungeon and the only ship that spawned was the 1st one you get on. I tank and am working on how I want to run this later, but attempting to do a dungeon when pieces of it are missing is no help help at all. I know this dungeon has been buggy since launch, but with M0 not far away, then M+, the issues need to be addressed quickly or else the dungeon needs to be removed from the S1 rotation.

This is like set on m+ for a regular N leveling dungeon its so broken

Normal, heroic, mythic, you can roll a dice if you access a corrupted and bugged instance… thinks may or may not spawn properly or not reset at all. it’s very random. It should taken out of the dungeon rotation.

I was just coming here to express this very opinion. Dawnbreaker needs to be fixed or removed from the rotation for M+. I think it’s an amazing dungeon and is my favorite of the TWW offerings, but these bugs are out of hand. This is the list of bugs I’ve experienced so far:

  • There are several places where there are line-of-sight issues where, as a healer, I can’t heal people. For example, in the very first starting area before getting on the boat, if someone stands on one of the slightly raised areas at the beginning or end of the dock, I can’t heal them even if I stand right on them.
  • Sometimes the Dawnbreaker doesn’t spawn. What’s strange here is that it often seems to not spawn for just one person. Once it didn’t spawn for anybody and we reset the dungeon, but a few times it didn’t spawn for just one person. And if that person attempts to board where the rest of us are standing, they fall to their death and respawn on the ship.
  • Often, people will fall through the Dawnbreaker or one of the spider ships. On the Dawnbreaker, they usually they end up in the belly of the ship with no way out, but we’ve had people fall all the way to their death. On the spider ships, sometimes people just can’t land on the ship. They repeatedly fly through it and then just go back to the Dawnbreaker while the rest of us kill the adds.
  • This seems to have been fixed recently, but we’ve had several times where people couldn’t mount when they needed to.
  • And finally, the final boss fight while on the ground. I was on my Balance Druid and could not cast certain spells on the boss. I kept getting “No path available” for some spells like Fury of Elune.
  • EDIT: Oh, and one I forgot… sometimes the spider ships never spawn.

Overall, it’s a gorgeous dungeon and I hope it can be fixed, but it cannot be part of the M+ rotation in its current state as we experience one more more of these bugs on almost every run.

As a fellow druid main i depise this dungeon. Not only do we have to hope we didn’t get a buggy instance and the ships spawn… i have to hope i don’t fall to my death being in the wrong auto selected form :expressionless:
As a bear its even worse flying between ships as you have to shift out of flight into bear and then attack but you always have people that land on the pack. Ive tried shifting before hitting the ship only to again fall thru the ship to my death because im “in combat” and unable to shift… i just foresee so many people flying into mobs for me and one of these days I’ll get hit with a spell of of bear form due to it and possibly die… maybe? It just feels bad
Moving between ships and even being on the moving ship is so bad for motion sickness as well i know I’m not the only one with this here…
The cancel aura macros that were in place for regrowth in bear form as a precaution are gone there are work around weakauras to keep you in bear form while in combat as a “fix” and are especially helpful in those times i aggressively press my regrowth proc for a heal and double click… however this also has killed me since i cannot shift out of my bear form (outside of going cat) so those have been removed but the quality of life previously had was removed with it.
I haven’t down any followers for this particular dungeon only because i like to limit going into this place at all. Im not happy to see this buggy mess and quite frankly frustrating. Going to feel so bad losing a key to the dungeon not spawning correctly…

adding to bugs:

just got into a run and no one was able to mount up when the nerubian ships spawned. no one got the buff.

That massive wall of text makes my eyes bleed so I can’t read it, but in case it wasn’t said, earlier I was in heroic and I couldn’t even board the ship from the dock to start it… it wasn’t even there. Had to port out and back in. My 4 other party members could see it though.

I absolutely hate this instance, its horrible, fun idea, terrible design execution ; it just does NOT work properly ; yeah people bail on it constantly … what junk…

I still find this undoable on follower mode. This is not the only dungeon on follower mode where the lead stops leading on tasks which are not strictly tank and spank, pulling mobs, etc., but it’s impossible in this dungeon to complete without taking over the reins. I think Blizzard’s AI is still in beta, even though it’s now a part of the game.
