So with all these old games getting remade or remastered I was wondering if anyone else agrees that the next should be the original Dawn of War.
The original Dawn of War had that perfect formula of troops and base building. Sadly Dawn of War 2 tries to be a Company of Heroes clone and while I do not mind Company of heroes it is just not Dawn of War as for Dawn of War 3 well it tried to have its cake and eat it too by trying to attract Dawn of War fans while at the same time keeping Dawn of War 2 fans and failing at both.

The Black Library and Games Workshop die-hards won’t let it happen.
Last vestige of Rome, indeed…
Cheerio, old sport! You really almost rogered the booglie!
I think its more the fact that there have been a lot of bad Warhammer 40K games and media and that has hurt the brand as a whole I think this is more Games Workshop being a bit more cautions and doing quality control before they give a person the right to use Warhammer 40K.
If you can’t create an MMORPG fron a table top game that has all the logistics printed out for you in the current game market… You are incompetent.
You know the first Warcraft game was supposed to be a game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Universe but Blizzard could not get the license so they made their own game with its own lore. Think of what could of happened if they were able to get it.
I’ll buy the rights to the franchise. When I win the lottery. Lol.
THQ is gone now I think.
That was the American equivalent to Games Workshop in regards to their game franchises, from Dawn of War to its expansion packs to Dawn of War 2, which I thought was a decent game. Its expansions, I mean. They did great work on their video cinematics. I tried to play Ultramarine, and then Martyr.
They had the right idea to make it a game where you went all over the galaxy, immersing you in the nitty-gritty of the Warhammer 40k. But the dialogue was pretty terrible and the English accents made me laugh.
They should make a StarCraft: The Korprulu Sector as an MMORPG and Sanctuary for the Diablo franchise as an MMORPG as well. It would practically sells itself.
Well I looked it up Dawn of war is now owned by Sega …all they would need to do is remaster the orgional Dawn of war game and they would make lots of money.
RTS’s are tired out and not doing overly well at the moment. Not to rain on the parade of indie games…
A good successor to WoW would be a Games Workshop Warhammer AND Warhammer 40k online MMORPG. As long as you can get it away from the British…
Age of Empires, Iron Harvest, Company of Heroes 3, Total War Warhammer 3 . all say otherwise.
Right, but those games are pay-to-see races/faction unlocks that cater to a very narrow fan base with more $ than sense.
I remember Warhammer: Online attempted to bridge the gap for an RPG, but it wasn’t properly executed, which is a real shame too.
