Compared to the other megadungeons, this one is not remotely similar in difficulty. Struggling to survive in normal raid gear is way harder than the others were. I don’t care ‘git gud’ or whatever, this one has just been so damn irritating. And when it’s stupidly difficult like this, it’s impossible to pug into groups, because everyone goes for tight ilvls and such. And the times I have done the dungeon, I take insane damage from everything if I’m not pixel perfect. The others were definitely not this way, I remember running Mechagon in Eternal Palace gear, normal, or possibly even without it at times.
Really poor showing IMO.

where are you having trouble?
Yep, this time around they intentionally made it harder than other ones. They did a blue post about it when it launched to let us know. They are trying new things and wanted to add some more difficult non raid content, so this is kind of an experiment for them. I haven’t gotten around to completing it. Did a couple of guild groups with it, but only partial runs. The bosses were tough for sure, but so far I never felt like they were out of my reach. I just need to practice up on the mechanics (as do my guildies).

other than morchie where having dead players seems better, the rest of it isn’t so bad

the first two bosses feel punishing and i can see undergeared groups struggling. otherwise they’re basically all just mechanics checks.

If it was mechanics alone it wouldn’t be a problem. I can’t get into groups for one, and for two there’s no leeway on anything, even trash. The ones who warp over and do a spin on you, I frequently can only barely survive running out of it. So many things one shot if they go off, and it’s frustratingly harder than the current raid. If people want difficulty, fine, that’s what M+ is supposed to be for. But this has just routinely annoyed me.
I shouldn’t have to go do heroic Aberrus to gear up for a damn 5-man. Normal raid gear should be enough.
The trick to the second boss is to just stand still and only move to a slow zone when you have the debuff that is going to expire. Casters running in circles trying to avoid even the slightest downside instead of planting their feet getting 50% good buff uptime and spamming damage as normal.

your ilvl is definitely a bit low to be pugging the megadungeon. however, you’re missing a LOT of stats because none of your gear is enchanted/gemmed. that would help!

Why not? Dungeons are allowed to be difficult too.

Did you just stack and put heal it?
Yeah it’s way easier than having everyone try to run in circles. The damage you take from being in the bad zone is pretty negligible too.
That’s because it IS harder than the previous megadungeons and drops loot quality proportional to the difficulty (Max Heroic raid ILVL/ +16 M+ key ILVL). From what I have been told Dawn DOES bump you to 425ilvl if you are lower (but that’s not gonna fix a poor stat spread from suboptimal gear and will still make many mechanics difficult to survive for you) This is a dungeon you need to be ready to pop defensives in, like you mentioned with the teleporting beyblade adds simply running will not always be enough or cut it too close for comfort you really want to leave a defensive up in case it targets you and pop it asap as you run to safety.
Most pugs are wanting people 430+ ilvl, and thats not unreasonable given the rewards and some of the dps checks and damage spikes you can experience.
The Heroic wings of the dungeon will be added soon, and will probably be scaled around Normal Raid ilvl and I imagine will just the same be harder than your typical Heroic dungeon similar to how the Mythic +0 version is scaled like a +16
If the content is dropping Aspect Fragments and 437 ilvl base gear, they’re not gonna make it an easy feat to pug at <430

I’ve only done the place twice so I can’t remember, did the disks that shoot out – did you just soak those as well or do they one shot people?
Nah we dodged those but we didn’t make any attempt to follow the “Fast zone” around the boss.

Wasn’t the case for the last ones. That’s my point. Also story critical junctures like this aren’t the place to be running experiments like this. If it was a rerun of something or a side thing then fine, but plopping it right in the middle of a patch storyline and requiring heroic raid gear? Nah.
I’m not really asking anyone to agree with me. It’s genuinely fine, I might be the minority, but I’m still making sure the devs know full well that I think this was a dumb idea.

it doesn’t require heroic raid gear. that’ll make it easier, but it’s not a requirement.

It’s not hard: it just requires being iLvl 425-430 to actually complete. It also drops iLvl 437 loot which is amazing for alt catch up. I’ve paid gold to have people run my fresh 70 through it and came out with 7 pieces of 437 loot. Then you just slam out +17s and you’re 440 after 3 days.

I am ding it since week one and i think it already has been nerved to the ground in difficulty. First two weeks was fun to heal, but now you can go into it brain dead and still complete it. And btw: My ilvl has not changed much since then.
The dungeon hasn’t received any outgoing damage tuning since its launch; only bugfixes. It feels easier because people know mechanics better and likely are doing it with higher gear with a higher health pool and thus larger buffer.
It is quite challenging your first ry . Ive only done it once the first or second day in a pug that was all 440 plus. My question is why is normal enough? Getting 430 ilvl is super easy this xpac. You can do it in three weeks with only a few hour’s each week.
Also they are releasing it as heroic which will have everything fall over when you breathe on them like other hr3oic dungeons. So why should they not release it with a slight challenge since it will be nerfed into oblivion for heroic in the near future anyhow.
