Dawn of the Infinite Gatekeeping, ft. Gateus Keepus, Dragon Aspect of PvE

I’ll take the hate for this post, I just feel like screaming into the void anyways.

M+ and this new Mega-Dungeon are super fun considering the sheer audacity of mentioning you are “Learning” causes “gamer” (Changed due to forums flagging for a super old term that I did not mean to be taken offensively.) rage with people just leaving and whining about “Muh time being wasted”.

This post brought to you by raw sarcasm and a resigned fate to doing PvP as a solo player. At least if you get into a disagreement in PvP you can just melt the other person. So much for wanting to play the “content” of this crumbling game, lol

Dawn of the Infinites was designed to be challenging, just as Mechagon and Taza’vesh were when they were first released. It’s only been out like what, 3 weeks?

The thing is that people who have already learned it don’t want to “learn it again” (aka watch people mess up obvious mechanics and wipe 5x before each kill). It would be like retaking a class that was boring the first time. But there are other people who want to learn it, just start a group called “VOTI Learning Group” and see if people sign up.

There’s also a Discord group called WME, or Warcraft Made Easy, where you can make/join groups for content such as Dawn of the Infinites, M+ and raids.

I’m just curious which boss OP needed to learn. I’m guessing 2nd!

I’m fine with it.

It wasn’t even that hard of a dungeon. The biggest hiccup in my group was Morchie because people were really struggling on doing the traps.

Yeah, only got the first down but our tank was learning and we wiped the first boss as DPS just dumped sand on each other, lol

For the others, I’ll try the learning group route, guess I’ll just have to make peace that learning simply is not an option for the vast majority. Missing when dungeon groups had patience and teamwork in mind, not feeling that spirit in the PvE community as people clutch their DPS meters like pearls.

I had a similar reaction to that

Why does everyone think this doesn’t exist anymore? First time I went in, spent 5 hours with the same 4 other people learning mechanics and bosses. Maybe there’s a bit of luck involved like any PUG, but if you take time to put together the group, and make sure people know what they’re getting into before you start, theres a good chance you’ll get players who will stick it out.

Ditto.

It’s crazy to me, because I took in a group of VERY undergeared people to give it a shot. Were they able to complete it? No. They had to stop at Iridikron before bailing, but before that, there ABSOLUTELY was patience. People just make it out like because they make the bad decision to run with PUGs who turn out to be jerks is that it’s not THEIR fault.

This is odd for me too because I see “chill/completion” M+ and “Learning” groups for the mega dungeon all the time.

The number one cause of dissatisfaction in group content is mismatched expectations. People wanna learn and they invite people who want a clean run, nobody communicates their expectations and things fall apart as they were always going to.

You’d think people would use that tool in the group-finder for standard/learning/etc., but god forbid people actually read I guess =_=

OP may win the biggest angy of the day award.

So strange to give it over the mega-dungeon, and not a nerf though.

All gays have to allot 5 mins in the day to rage. You see we have extra feelings most men dont. It’s why we can express emotions without punching walls. Basic biology

I’m bi, do I have to allot 2.5 minutes or does it vary by day?

Ironically, that boss gets much easier if a couple dps just die… Then there are plenty of traps left for everyone else.
