I really like using Altoholic, but it requires the use of DataStore, which has been popping up errors all over the place lately. It’s to the point where when I mouse over something (an item in my bags, something on the ground, a mob) an error will pop up, obscuring my screen even in the middle of combat. And it’s every single time. It makes the game unplayable until I disable it. It’s up to date, so I don’t know why it’s giving me so many errors. Is there another alt addon that is useful that doesn’t use DataStore? Or is there some way to make DataStore usable?
I would delete the add-on and any folders related to it like the saved variables and such then reinstall it.
Thank you! That seems to have done the trick. Or at least, I haven’t had any errors pop up yet. 
They replaced the old version with one done by a new programmer. I read the instructions that told me I had to delete the contents of some folder in order to get the new one to work. However, the folder was empty.
