Server usually play on Wyrmrest Accord or Silver Hand
I’m getting a BSOD error everytime I try to run the background update and causing my Windows 10 to crash - could it be a possible connection issue? I’ve tried steps in the troubleshooter information with same problem. Otherwise the launcher works ok. Will try to play the game and see.
So apparently this is more widespread than the Dallas region, I just spoke with a wow GM who directed me to this thread…

I am having the exact same issues but my ISP goes through Salt Lake City, Utah. See below of a previous post.
I have been getting lag spike in game world for about 5-10 seconds and then again during every raid or dungeon boss encounter. The forums said to run some test but I can even get the winmtr test page to load. I also cannot even get the in game support ticket page to open at any time so i also think this is related. i have also contacted my ISP and they said it is the game and not there service. i ran a traceroute but I am not sure how this can help since it is sporadic. I have disabled all addons and it runs the same.

Had 5600+ world ping in instance I just ran (a.k.a. attempted to run, spent most of it frozen), ping outside instance in Dazar’alor is right now 154ms, which is still very high for me. I’m noticing this really really high world ping is pretty much isolated to dungeons and raids. I haven’t really gone above 150ms in the outdoor world yet. Have had no issues questing at all (spoke too soon, just had a 750ms spike in town while scrapping gear)

Same symptoms as others have described. High lag spikes in instances, raids, dungeons. Primarily when engaging bosses, but other times as well. All other services operating well. Note the packet loss and latency peaks all begin once past the first Blizz node.
Have undone all addons and the normal rename interface, cache, and wtf folders. No difference.
This began for us (my wife and sons play as well) between 1 and 2 weeks back, and has certainly been worse over the last week.

This might be of interest to everyone. I found a work around.
I still can’t get to the blizzard shop (and a few other portions of blizzard) through chrome or the launcher or my wifi-connected phone.
But, I downloaded Opera and turned on the automatic VPN. Now everything blocked in the launcher and in chrome and on my phone loads up just fine (but only if I’m using Opera and its built-in VPN).
I don’t know how or why, but it worked. It’s not a permanent solution. I’d still like to be able to access the shop from inside the blizzard launcher.

We’ve made some tweaks and worked with a couple of the ISPs (Primarily Fidelity and its subsidiaries) that were previously having issues which seems to have improved things for them, but we still have work to do on this.
In the mean time, some players in this thread have mentioned that setting up their phone as a mobile hotspot and connecting through that, or using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) client lets them work around things. We don’t support this kind of thing directly since each VPN/phone is different. We also don’t consider it a “fix”, but it may improve your play if you want to look up how to do that.
On that note - if anybody’s on a Fidelity ISP and still having problems, new traceroutes would be helpful. For the rest of you, thanks for the info so far - keep it coming!

Thanks, but not sure many here were too concerned with being able to access the shop and spend extra money on something we get 15,000+ ping and disconnects in.
Unfortunately, the same issue for me at the moment. I appreciate your continued effort on this front.
i can understand that this isnt an easy matter to quickly solve and appreciate the continued dilgence towards it being resolved. on the other hand, this has been going for over a week now (for me anyways, while others been having issue for longer, and some for shorter).
granted, this is a less-than simple task to repair, ive been without what is to be accessible to me as a customer.
im unable to open an in-game ticket without having to use 3rd party software, so who is it i’d need to petition as a means to mitigate losses between you the provider, and me the patron?
It’s so speratic. I log in one time and my world ping is 34 with WinMTR showing 1% packet loss. I play a few hours later my ping the second I login is 100-300 with WinMTR showing 85% packet loss. Over abt 10mins it slowly dropped to 30% packet loss but my ping still was around 80-100
Lag? Like it’s built in and purposely named that?
