Data folder approaching 100GB. What can we delete?

Does anyone know what’s safe to delete in the Data folder, and maybe the rest of the WoW directory tree? I know WTF, Interface, Cache, Logs and Screenshot are safe to delete. Anything else?

It’s probably due to my backup plan never removing files and a need to restore from backup recently, but my Data folder is 94.5GB.

I’ve run the repair tool hoping it would do a cleanup but no dice. I’ve considered doing a clean install, but I’m on a rather slow DSL so it would take many (many) hours to download.

The only real way to clean up the install is to reinstall the game. Which will lower the amount of space used. However the mileage may very as I have heard different amounts of space regained. And have not tried it my self yet.

i did a fresh reinstall a few days ago. Before the reinstall my warcraft folder was somewhere around 75gb, maybe a little under.

my fresh data folder is 54.3gb. everything else in the warcraft folder is <250mb. just to give you an idea.

Thanks for posting the size of a clean install. It’s good to have a target to aim for.

It appears I had about 30GB worth of old MPQs in my WoW folders. After removing them all it’s down to 70GB which is good enough for now.
