They just can’t seem to add fun content anymore for the sake of adding them for fun, can they? I won’t be running this trash event until the rewards are released because there’s 0 point in it. Are they testing the waters to see if they can get away with NO rewards for new events until later on to extend plater retention? Cause this is pitiful.
Available starting the third week of Dastardly Duos is the chance to get the Mean-Ball Ball Bag Mean-Ball Ball Bag which rewards the Spicy Mean-Ball Pet.
There are two new Toys available with Dastardly Duos: the Dastardly Banner Dastardly Banner and the Winner’s Podium Winner’s Podium. Later into the event, players will be able to upgrade their Winner’s Podium Winner’s Podium toy to display their highest score in a Dastardly Duos run!
Available starting the fifth week of Dastardly Duos is the Tyrannotort’s Treat Tyrannotort’s Treat mount. This ground-mount is an albino turtle with its shell and saddle matching the color scheme of Dastardly Duos.

Testing the waters? I think it’s more of them establishing that this is going to be the way content is handled going forward.
Provide part of an afternoon of content and then gate it out over 4-6 weeks. Cheaper, easier, faster.
And they have people by the short n curlies so they aren’t going anywhere.
I don’t think anything will change unless subs drop. All this time gating doesn’t seem to have an effect on it yet - that or their doubling down until the time played metrics improve.

Why are all the names doubled up doubled up?
Gating 5-minute content and stretching it out over a month is bad, no other way to look at it.
I get why- it’s because there’s nothing else in the oven coming (at this moment/in this patch) and they want to tide us over to the next one- but still?
Overall it’s like an hour of content, if even that!
It’s disappointing!
It’s like if they gave us Wailing Caverns but we are only allowed to kill one raptor at a time, then it boots us out and next week we can progress a little further and kill two raptors before being kicked- same vibes.
yeah, this sucks. i’ll just wait i guess.
They have all of these people anyway.
It’s a calendar event like Turbulent Timeways, which that reward is gated to five weeks, with a weekly reward cache of a piece of gear. Duos isn’t much different.
At least with this one you can miss weeks and catch up at the end.
But I still just want Brawlers Guild back.

Timegating for an event that’s not even worth it. Did it once and zero desire to do it again. Could not have been more bored. Also, the rewards are just as boring. How many turtles do we have at this point?
