Listen I am really NOT impressed with the warfronts in general. I find them boring and it makes me sad that they are the best way to get geared at Ilevel 320.
Having said all of the above, it is even more frustrating when you join a BUGGED warfront, leave and get stuck with the 30 min debuff. Come on everyday I end up in one of these bugged warfronts. Fix it please.
Basically, you have to do things in the Linear fashion in which you are led to do them. You especially have to do the Glaives, to kill the big robots/whatever.
Trying to zerg it will break it.
In ones where people follow they prompts, as they did in mine, it works without a hitch. All of these threads make me afraid to try to do more of them, for the missing mog pieces.
Yeah I know, I kinda preach the steps whenever I get into a Darkshore front.
But if it were me, I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in if I still needed the mog pieces.
From what I can tell, the main issue they were seeing was that the bugged instance or instances kept getting backfilled. That should have been resolved after today’s restart.
Others have covered this it’s not bugged, it’s people ignoring the sequences in the warfront. You need to make glaive throwers, you can’t just rush ahead without them. I’ve never had this issue because I’ve always had groups that made them. I’ve done it on 8 120s. No issues. Personally see to it glaive throwers are made before capturing Lordanel if you are in doubt.
I would think that is the more complex issue to try to tackle, honestly. They would have to somehow detect an instance that is in a broken/glitched state, in order to then delist it. I would think it’d be better to tackle the root of the problem, and prevent the flag capping until the glaives are built.
Actually Timewalking is the best way to get geared if you are below 350. After that you just have to do the World Quests. Even dungeons are pretty bad at dropping decent gear.
The interesting thing from that quote is this: “the issue with those Warfronts is that folks will continue to back fill them”, as if that’s somehow the fault of the players. You’d think that if bugged warfronts are a known issue, they’d have some method of preventing the queue from “back filling” the instances. Close the warfront off from the queue if a certain % of players leave, for example.
But no, players continue to back fill the bugged instances, completely independent from the game’s queuing system.
TW is great, when it’s available. Warfronts are much more available with two of them rotating now.
Honestly, they should have put in safeguards against sequence breaking the warfront. Why wouldn’t people try to rush ahead if the targets are already available?
Seems like a simple fix would be to not spawn the next objective until the previous one is completed.
Here’s the thing: this exact same thing happened in Beta to Arathi.
I mean, exactly the same thing. There was an issue causing the Arathi warfront to bug out. People would drop out because it couldn’t be completed and new people would be phased in and it would just go on and on.
So saying its happening for Darkshore and gosh, we need to figure out a way to fix it is rather sad, in a bad sort of way. You had this happen before, you have it happening now yet you cannot fix it.
I’m not sure what this says about the game now, but the words aren’t likely to be happy ones.
The instance itself bugs out and cannot be completed. From what I am understanding from other players, it has something to do with players attempting to kill the final boss without making the glaives.
I am frustrated because I join a bugged warfront, I have to leave because it cannot be completed and then I am stuck with a 30 min debuff.
