Darkshore bugged

So its finally the Alliance’s turn for the siege… I’m in Darkshore warfront right now and we can’t talk to Maiev or initiate the fight with Sira.

Leave the warfront and re-queing puts you right back in with the bugged instance.

Last time it was the Alliance’s turn for Darkshore it took 2 hours to complete because of lag spikes affecting the whole shard. When are you gonna fix this game Blizz?

It’s kind of surprising how horribly bugged warfronts still are, months later. It’s ridiculous the number of times I get placed in one where essential mobs are evading, or straight up won’t spawn, or the final boss was killed and the loot screen just won’t trigger.

Then you leave the Warfront and get a 30min deserter debuff too. GG Blizzard

Oh Tried another toon and got in the same bugged warfront and another debuff…

Just completed the warfront finally, guess what I can’t turn in the quest.

I too joined a que earlier today that was bugged got hit with the deserter debuff. I waited hoping maybe I could get into one that wasn’t bugged. Guess what…I was wrong…another debuff. Did some research they have knows about this bug for 4 days, with “no work around” according to them. This is completely unacceptable players are being punished for no fault of their own. #betaforazeroth

Just found out if you have both warfront quests, you can only get credit for one when you “view the war table”. So you have to abandon one to complete the other if you have that bug where you aren’t getting quest credit.

Guess it got into a weird sync where both warfronts are controlled by Horde right now. Need to unlink (after all my alts get in there to kill Ivus) so it’s even-steven for both sides.

That instance is still open, went into it and i stayed a few minutes. Dropped and didn’t get deserter somehow. Waiting about 15 mins and tried again, got in the same one and got deserter for my trouble that time

The thing that gets me is what if you have no use for any 340 piece of equipment no matter what it is. Getting gear that is just barely worth scrapping just means - NO - I’m not going to waste that time on something that is so bugged that it’s painful to do and has no reward.

This happened one instance last siege on my DH. Had to take the deserter debuff.

Mine
Mill
Left
Center
Up
Fly back and build until glaives are available
If they aren’t rolling by the time the “Northshore” window pops up, your’e bugged

Haven’t incurred the quest not turning in bug…yet.

EDIT - and yes, it’s the “go go go” mentality of players just wanting to slog their way up the map versus completing the necessary buildings. So get the word out until Blizzard hotfixes it, because you can bet that there will be players doing it intentionally. First thing that comes to mind…opposite faction players who also have a character on your faction, and are doing it to grief.

You might want to report this on the Bug forum on one of the many posts there about it. You are more like to have it read by someone responsible for checking on actual game bugs, rather than posting here.

/reload ui is what fixed that for me.

This can happen if you rush the Azerite robots and kill them & the missile boats before building at least one Glaive Thrower. The win-state won’t resolve and you won’t be able to engage the end boss since there are no boats for the Glaive Throwers to target.

It just happened to me, because some troll in the instance told everyone to rush without building the siege engines, and we did. We all had to leave, but other people kept joining the doomed instance fresh, and that’s probably what you saw.

^ This. The glaive throwers are part of the win condition of the map. But some people are too RUSH RUSH RUSH and kill the robots first.

If you have or wait for a mage to join the group you can have them portal the group out without getting the debuff, we spent our time kicking people until we got one, as the kick does not give the debuff. Took about 10 minutes but better then a 30 minute debuff.

Did the warfront on 4 toons today without a single problem. You must be just unlucky.

People need to actually play the Warfront instead of trying to zerg right to the end.

You have to get everything set up and ready in the stages it needs to be made before jumping to the end.

Which means people actually have to gather resources, build up stuff, and stop the RAWRKILLIT mentality.

Personally, I think when they fix the bug, they should also make the robots not targetable until those glaive throwers are built.
