Three quick observations I made with these flight masters is that:
- I did not have to collect them.
- They have not flight cost.
- There is already a boat connecting the two locations.
So this got me think is this correct should being that would leave no need for the boat, making me wonder if this was like this in patch 1.0 or if there was a patch that changed this. Does anyone here know if you originally needed to take the boat because it cost to much or they didn’t have them connected or was this just something the devs overlooked in 1.0.
Pretty sure you need the take the boat for the 1st time to grab the Auberdine FP? But yeah they’ve always been free to fly between the 2.

At least as far as I can remember, if you get the Flight Path for Darkshore, you automatically get the FP to Teldrassil. Usually when coming from the starter zone, you get a quest to come to Darkshore [using the boat] and have to do a parcel quest using the FP back to deliver in Teldrassil.
Also, boat is great for some of that lovely content you may create with random scrubs on the boat with you.
The boat has always been there for RP purposes. Please don’t try and remove the boat.
The cost is zero because the boat is there and always has been.
This was not my intent. It only seemed strange that you would not have to use the boat at least once to unlock the flight point in darkshore. Otherwise new players would have no need to ever take the boat and take the flying master each time.
I guess they essentially consider the flight path and boat to be a non-event.
