Darkmoon Trader

With the Darkmoon Faire do you think it’s time Blizzard put a Trade Vendor at its portal entrance (possibly calling out "Need trade goods?) for anyone who needs mats for their skills quest.
It’s more than a little annoying having to fly up/take the lift into Thunder Bluff just to get mats (especially if you don’t know you need them), unlike the Alliance who don’t have to go back to Stormwind for theirs. Not to mention, not too many new players go to Thunder Bluff anymore, so they might not know where the Trade Vendor there is.

I just think it’d be more convenient if there was a Trade Vendor (and possibly a drinks stand, for Alchemists) at the portal entrance.

Just buy them on your way to the portal; you’re already passing through Orgrimmar/Stormwind…

Stormwind, maybe, but in Orgrimmar you don’t leave the Portal room, stepping into Zandalar then to Thunder Bluff.

Seriously, who flies to Thunder Bluff anymore?

Good opportunity for a goblin to hawk some simple flour outside the Darkmoon portal.

You can leave the portal room, though.

If you’ve been doing this for a while, you know what mats you need. I usually stock up and just keep the mats in my bank for months.

And lose the nostalgia of screaming at the computer because one just absent-mindedly only bought mats for one profession instead of both?

There is a vendor practically outside the portal in Goldshire. They should add one close to the portal for the Horde.

keep some in the guild bank?
or ask someone to put them in the bank?
use your guild chest inside the faire.

mail them to yourself in advance?

chances are, most people who go to the faire, will go more than once per cycle.

And you could use the Trade merchant in Zandalar too, but you’re missing the point.
There should be a merchant at the portal for those who’ll likely forget the mats they need (like Leatherworkers or those currently doing high-end Inscription) and, especially, for those who are new to the game.

Nope! I understand the point. I simply disagree with it. Go out into the world! Find your merchants! Meet new NPCs! That’s how the game should be for new and old alike.
