Perhaps. Definitely some sort of movement ability. Something like FF14’s Red Mage gap closer for melee attacks and a distancing ability for the spells.
Could I feel a proper sense of edginess playing them? If so I’m down

I mean, Darkmoon faire is the penultimate form of edginess. There’s so much there that could be used for class inspiration.

I’d try just about anything once.
But it sounds rather silly
Rogues need a DnD style bard/traveling minstrel class, we already have ninjas, and part of espionage is civilian cloaking. Just imagine a Rogue spec where you can play an instrument for some spells to lull someone to sleep or distract them with a magic trick or jester performance before sticking a dirk in their ribs.
do they have tattoos and make warlocks despise them for the removal of an ability that never made sense for them in the first place?
