Darkmoon Faire Rollercoaster goes Backwards

The rollercoaster in Darkmoon Faire goes backwards on the track. Rollercoasters need to do a large climb upwards in order to get momentum to travel down the track quickly.

This rollercoaster goes backwards, and has the large climb to the top at the very end of the track. This isn’t how gravity works.

Has nobody played Rollercoaster Tycoon?

It is a weird design indeed. I remember thinking, “Oooh! the big, BIG climb!” only to go rocketing into the… platform.

I won’t be riding it again. If you are going to defy gravity, at least make it interesting.

Why cant a roller coaster have a long drop at the end? Dont be judgemental Mansa

it’s not that it can’t have a big drop at the end, but look at how it is laid out, it’s is going the wrong way at the start, it should go left not right. The “last” hill for example… you go down a relatively long drawn out angle, but if you look at what you did before you got there, it’s almost a complete vertical climb to get to the top. This is opposite of what it should be… a more lengthy climb to a almost vertical drop. in the back and then when you “finish” it’s a smaller hill to the finish line. With the state of the game today, I’m not entirely surprised of the result from Blizzard :frowning:

I hope this gets fixed, the current ride feels lack luster going the wrong way.

I’m thinking this isn’t a bug. It’s the influence of the insanity of the void messing with physics.

This coaster is insaaaaaaaane…!

Meh.

I think you might be right, ugh I really hope not tho.

There are 3 goblins near the roller coaster that even comment that it’s backwards and they engineered it that way, but people are complaining. I think either blizz is trolling us, or they animated it the wrong way and didn’t want to redo it lol.

Edit: Didn’t realize this thread was 1 year old, oof.
