Darkmoon Faire, engineering

Ive got my newer druid that Im going to main in SLs about where I want it.
Druid with all the engineering toys, portals…tons -0- fun,lol

Anyway, Im at a point where I want to use the darkmoon faire to get the last 5 points I need to hit 175 in zandalari engineering and I have absolutely no idea how its done.

Could someone who has done it more recently explain how to get the 5 point increase in engineering from the DMF?

thanks in advance

edit…I want to use the DMF thing. Please dont suggest doing X or something else…thanks.

Accept the quest to fix broken tonks, then just go around the tents and find the little tonks. Your cursor will change to let you right-click them. Do it at for the quest and get your skill-up reward.

you wait another month for the faire to be active, and do the engineering quest

i’m going to anyway.
because i’m a rebel.

do the engineering world quests.

That seems simple enough. Wonder how I’ll screw it up,

Wait, is there not enough stuff to craft to get the last 5 points? Cause if there is, you would get it faster now than waiting till next month when the faire returns to get it.

Not really in a rush. Just wanting to try the DMF thing since its the last few points.
Ive taken Zandalari engineering as far as I care to. Got all the gizmos I wanted from it. :grinning:

Ah, makes sense then. Happy travels fair tinkerer.

The quest giver is in the tent with the target game. He is a troll. I think the tent is next to the cannon. Right hand side of the road from the entrance.

cool. thanks :+1:

Make sure you have at least 75 in classic engineering otherwise the faire quest won’t be available to you

Thanks! :+1:
Yeah…everything else is maxed out. Just that last 5 points in Zandalari Eng.

Don’t understand why you can’t just craft the 8.3 goggles and be done with it imo

TRIGGER ALERT WARNING!!!: I AM going to suggest an alternative, because you can’t do the DMF engi quest til next month.

If you want to max it out faster than that, engineering world quests award skillups as well.

Most of them use recipes that aren’t very mat-demanding. If your toon or an alt has mining, you can mine all the mats you need to do five of them in like an hour.

yeah, thats fine. Theres nothing I need to make anyway. Im just curious about the DMF thing.

But yeah…I did take mining too, plus I do have druid character specifically for mining thats maxed out on everything.

Another thing, if you are lacking a few points in other expansion crafting or gathering, the points you get spill over to the next highest. So say you are 74 northrend crafting yet 62 outland, the remaining points will go towards outland. I love that they do this. Means if you are lacking the mats to get those last few points you can still level it.

oh…thats kinda cool. Kinda making me wish I hadnt spent all that gold from 72 to 75 for outland engineering, lol

This is the most important, and has tripped me up many times. Because of this, if you haven’t already hit 75+ in vanilla engineering, I really wold suggest the engineering WQs. You’ll probably see five of those before the fair drops. :see_no_evil::speak_no_evil::hear_no_evil:

Just curious…engineering WQs?
Mechagon or something else?

Sometimes world quests will pop up in the various zones, usually from the Emissary NPCs themselves (so main hubs) that ask for profession items (crafted or gathered) and will give a +1 skill up in that profession.

They do require that profession to even see them, so you won’t see professions you’re not trained with.
