Usually at the start of an expansion Darkmoon decks and cards are at least worth something until the market steadily declines. They are not the best trinkets out there, but for the start of an expansion they are decent until you can get better ones. It’s not easy making money with Inscription, but at least I could make some.
But Blizzard allowed Scribes to get cards from drops and, whew boy, are they dropping. I have so many freaking cards that I can make multiple decks. It’s insane. My entire raid team will be able to equip a Darkmoon deck trinket by the time the raids open at the rate they are dropping for me.
And now the market has totally crashed and the main launch hasn’t even started. Maybe the Sigil market will be better, but I’m not feeling confident right now.
Awesome! I can finally afford to get darkroom cards. lol.

It’s not just a scribe thing. I can literally fish up Darkmoon cards.
Also, this has inadvertently crashed the prices on purple disenchanting materials due to the price of the cards being so low that people buy them to disenchant for the purple enchanting material.

With the amount of ‘‘gold makers’’ in the game… unfortunately we will now have this happening every patch , expansion etc…
Yeah, but to be fair they can do things to make methods less effective, I truly believe they should find a way to break the idea/mechanics behind force respawning and “2 by 4 farming” strats that cause a ridiculously high rate of materials to enter the economy very quickly.

I agree. 1100%.
Now we have early access with these hyper spawn etc flooding market, people already ahead and spamming trade… I’m really missing old professions now
Yeah, i agree. i was looking forward to it, but even without specialized points in it they drop alot and messed the markets up.
I feel like it should be a fishing only or if you have it specialized. Too late now.
I purchased them for all my alts already, the market was so low I actually felt bad for the crafters.
To be fair, the decks are pretty bad this xpac so I wouldnt really have expected them to hold their value. That being said… Blizz really did a number on on the new darkmoon system lol.
Overall, I do not like many of the professions. I think cooking is terrible atm!
it is nice - i bought two for my fresh druid. I got about 20 cards from fishing though so that is contributing
I just finished doing a follower dungeon to get Priory of the Sacred Flame done for the weekly, and I just had FIFTEEN darkmoon cards drop in the dungeon. On some pulls, I would loot multiples. I know this has to be a bug, right?
Dark moon decks have not been good since…christ i cant even think of the last time a dark moon deck was worth it.
