My big gripe with Summon Darkglare is if you summon it and it’s out of line of sight of your target, your dots don’t get extended. Even if you’re in line of sight of your dot targets, it doesn’t mean the darkglare will be when you summon it. 
sounds like a ‘glaring issue’ 
all seriousness, that does kinda suck, but is somewhat easily avoidable once known about at least

To be honest, i have more problem with the choice of Darkglare being our ‘ultimate summon’ than the mechanic itself.
In my personal opinion, Inquisitor would have been a much better fit - and in a sense of irony, it was originally an inquisitor in the beta.
How do they reach the conclusion that Darkglare ‘fit affliction better’ is beyond me.
how about we ditch the cool-down and just have beefier dots ALL the time instead of waiting 3 mins to pop off.
We tried that long time ago - when our cooldown was Doomguard and it was really a terrible cooldown. You can say that during that time, our cooldown is not even a cooldown, but more like a gimmick.
Ya know what happen next? Raids exploded.
When your instant-cast dots hits hard, you can pad targets with them easily with third party addons, and you can even talent one of them to be permanent to allow you to manage more dots - well, practically no other class can even get close to your dps once target number goes above 2.
Time to get the o.g. maelfic grasp back hehhehe
