The Darkfuse Solutions rep farm is built in a way to be a mob grind if players wish to grind out reputation which I’d compare to the Emperor Shaohao reputation. However a lot of the farming spots have been nerfed now as of the last week, even the beach farm that players were using since the Darkfuse rep was first unlocked months ago. Items like the Prototype Auto-Advertiser from the Darkfuse rep vendor even encourage this type of grinding.
There has not been any word on why these spots were nerfed. Some like the Steamwheedle world quest kind of made sense due to spawning mobs from a clickable quest object which is not really intended. But the beach farm was hit as well. Now the only viable way to farm market research is to scrap all day which does not leave much choice and a headscratcher since the beach farm was available for months.
The Undermine cartel reputations have been off to say the least from the beginning which later by 100% in 11.1.5. Now Darkfuse is also in a weird spot where it was more easily obtained by players before but as of this week it is not.
I am hoping some light is shed on this situation as usually things get easier with time or at least neutral, not harder. The only reason I could guess to the nerfs is the Miscellaneous Mechanica from the paragon boxes being more readily available with the rep buff but I personally don’t see that as a bad thing since they were extremely rough to get to begin with.
