Anyone else sad we can’t use the Darkfallen skins as a Death Knight, especially now that one of our Hero Talent trees is San’layn? Or at least the option to use the red eyes like they have?

If they keep San as a hero tree until launch then it would be good to see the associated cosmetics. It’s early days yet though, they might change the cosmetic flavour of the tree or something if it were somehow problematic. Plus they would need to be 100% committed to keeping hero talents around to maintain the flavour. Whilst they have said they are, let’s not forget how many times the talent system has been altered.
The San’layn dont have red eyes. Darkfallen doesnt even mean red eyes. Darkfallen just means undead elf.
Blood Queen Lana’thel has blackish eyes.
Every single Blood Prince has yellow eyes.
All the Darkfallen in the Crimson Hall have blue eyes.
Blood Princess in Violet Hold uses the BQL model.
The Dark Rangers have red eyes.
I have yet to see San’layn with red eyes in WoW. There is only one card in Hearthstone has a San’layn have red eyes but Hearthstone isnt canon.
Are there any examples of death knights with red eyes outside of the background art for the blood spec?
No. Some say Lady Alistra but she has 0 lore and doesnt participate in any battles. Shes very likely to be a banshee in plate armor as an instructor for the Ebon Blade and that is it. She does even less in Legion and onwards.

I love how this is turning into some kind of lore debate. In a game with Lightforged Warlocks, a Blood DK with red eyes is probably the least egregious thing I can think of.
Undead holy priests are also pretty interesting.
Yes… yes she does or you guys run wild with your imagination. World rules in a story need to be followed. Any good writer will tell you that.
This has been explained. Its that their connection with the light was so strong that it continued in undeath. It causes them extreme pain, but they endure it.
Also, gameplay > lore since racials exist and racials play a role in dps output.
If you are an elf and you are playing a DK, congrats you are a darkfallen.
