Nah, they sent the dead NEs off to therapy with Calia at the end of BfA. They’ll be all fixed up (except for the dead part) and go make friends with the living ones again.
exactly so why would it be that oh so very welll known race you implied coughs no ones really heard of them 90% of the playerbase has no idea what the hell or who the hell those are rather than being part of the heritage armor leaks we saw were coming in the very near future.

Mmmmm, I think they’re playing coy. They just don’t want to announce it before pre-orders go up. If not, then we just have to wear them down.
It took us this long to get sneaky cows so I’m sure we can convince them to let us be walrus people. They can’t rob us of those glorious mustachios forever!

It’s always been my understanding that Darkfallen is the name of the “race” of undead vampire elves the San’layn are a faction of. All San’layn are Darkfallen, but not all Darkfallen are San’layn. This expansion of the term to cover all undead elves is interesting to me. I would love for more undead across the board, but more undead elves for the Horde and Alliance is a fine start.

I really hate the idea of a group of the Forsaken defecting to the Alliance.
It’s probably just the undead night elves returning to the alliance, there’s already a story thread from the BFA finale about it.
The Forsaken literally founded the Alliance in life. Just because some happen to be former night elves doesn’t make it any less weird, they’re still Forsaken.
